I'm new and I have several questions regarding procedure. Is it allowed to email excerpted articles posted here? If so, how do I do it? What is the meaning of "ping", "banglist" and "bump?" Mrs. Dog wants to know, too. Thanks.
I wait for the answers, too.
Banglist - of interest to 2nd Amendment posters.
Bump - a content-free post meant to get articles back into the Latest Comments view.
You can forward links via emails just as long as you make a donation to the Free Republic Moderator's Retirement/Beer Party fund (just kidding, we only have a beer fund).

I keep threads there that all newbies must read.

Bump!
This is HUGH! Series, even. i’m going to take a shower.
To beer, or not to beer; that is the question. Will consult the Exchequer prior to the next quarter fund drive. This is inarguably the best of the blogs. Thanks.
LOL!!
That is awesome.............
what does ‘bttt’ mean?
Bttt: back to the top. It’s the same thing as a “bump.”
Thanks.
it’s shorthand for
“if you type sequences of characters into scroogle.org, you will find their meaning with little-to-no effort”
This is inarguably the best of the blogs. Thanks.

Your submission did NOT go unnoticed.
Just friendly little word of advice: Do NOT refer to Free Republic as a blog.
Kitties do not like.
Ping is the sound when you over tighten a bolt and it breaks. Usually in a very difficult to fix situation.
Bump is the sound of strange things in the night when your’re hiding under the covers.
Banglist I’m not sure about, but I think it’s a country close to India or something.
Yes, you can e-mail from the posted articles but a fee must be paid first. Contact me with a credit card number and we’ll discuss it further.
PS, best we keep this between us. Momma doesn’t need to know.
You’re welcome. :)
You may want to ask about ‘peepole’ also.....
