If I did move to Canada, it would be in Calgary or some other city in the west. They still have conservatives out there.

This is a perfect explanation of why NOT to move to Canada. Politics is cyclical. In two, four or eight years, we could have “exactly the President and Congress [we’ve] always wished for.” Things can turn just that quickly.

I might have thought of moving there but with global temps now dropping it will be covered in an ice sheet by the time I’m finally settled in.

4) LBJ micromanaging the Vietnam War
5) OPEC turning off the lights in 1973
6) Nixon’s Price Controls
7) Bill and Hilary—’enough said
8) 9-11
9) the YK2 that never happened
10) USA being owned by Japan Inc.in the 80’s
11) Stagflation

Call me naive and an optimist but this nation will rise and meet this leftist challenge with the ferocity of a pit-bull.

There is one small problem with this idea...Canada doesn’t have Florida... :)

Well, come on up. I, for one, would welcome each and every one of you.

We have a conservative federal government in place and with a whole pile of freepers, it could stay that way. Please come to Ontario, though, because our province needs you most. Plus, southern Ontario is further south than a good portion of the U.S., so it’s not all that cold.

Warning - VERY politically correct and pandering to immigrants who aren’t interested in becoming Canadian. Also, high taxes (but you can change that) and too many handouts. Also, beware of socialized health care, it’s not so healthy.

Thought about it, just don’t know if I could get a job up there.

Have a business card for some place in Ottawa, don’t know if they need another person.

Also guess you can’t smoke inside a business in ON.

Guess I’ll fight it out here in MI, we can still smoke in most places here.
