OK fellow Freepers, I just got back from the local book store. The current issue has 8 cartoons of Rush Limbaugh as a crying baby on the cover. I couldn't find an article about Rush in the magizine and the article about the republicans made no sense to me. Am I the only one that doesn't get it. Is this a continuing effort to make Rush an enemy of the state. Thanks CDP

I can’t believe we are still killing trees so the New Yawker can spew it’s garbage. Apologies if the New Yawker has begun using recycled toilet paper for it’s print edition. I didn’t get the memo.

Thank you. He has a prominent background. I only know what I read here as I am unable to listen to him.

I don’t see anything wrong. Rush is always messing around with the crying of the libs. I think it is funny and am sure Rush will too. At least it will be one thing they got right about him. He’ll appreciate the humor in it I am sure. If not...he will respond accordingly but...haven’t you ever heard Rush do the Whhhaaa, Whaaaa crying??? It’s funny.

The covers of the New Yorker have never been related to the articles in the magazine. They are either separate pieces of art, such as that by Gretchen Dow Simpson or the late C.E.M., or editorial cartoons.

The title of the cover is always given at the bottom of the Table of Contents. This week’s cover is called “OctoRush.” The interpretation of it is up to each reader, but I thought it might be a comment upon the two items which dominated the news cycles for the week following CPAC.

You would probably like some of the pieces in this edition. The one on Roland Burris is not at all flattering, and confirms many of our suspicions and accusations regarding Burris, Blagovich, and Chicago politics. The one on Madoff gives a solid analysis of the man’s crimes and the people in the SEC who permitted them. And the Letter from Moscow is blunt about the horrors of the Russian oligolpy/oligarchy model.

Knowledge is like gold - there are nuggets of wealth in the mud.

Perhaps you wern’t. However you made it sound like you didn’t know a lot about him only what you read on FR. I merely suggested checking out his bio for more information on this great man and patriot. However, do as you please I guess.

Because I suddenly developed nerve deafness in both ears by the age of 35. Even digital aid don't make it easy to hear every word on radio or You-Tubes and I use caption for TV.

He doesn’t exactly eat like Jack Lalanne though. I hope we have him a good long time regardless!

I’m sorry about that of course. I apologize for that. However, if you check out his bio online you will be pleasantly pleased at what you read and how he got to where he is today. The man is a genius and definitely speaks for me and millions of others. I wish you well.

Me too and while everyone on the left likes to tag him as entertaining...what they don’t realize is that he is INDEED entertaining and has used that talent to inform all of us about what is real and what is not. As I said...he is a genius and his opposition are too stupid to realize it. He beats them at their own game every single time!!!
