Thunder in the Desert 2009 (Luke AFB Air Show)

Join us for Luke's "Thunder in the Desert" 2009: March 21 and 22:

Luke's "Thunder in the Desert" 2009 Open House is a two-day event at Luke Air Force Base and one of the most diverse air shows in America. The U.S. Air Force's Aerial Demonstration Team, the Thunderbirds, will bring their special brand of high-flying excitement to this year's show as well as numerous other aircraft and ground displays, exhibits, and attractions.

General admission to "Thunder in the Desert" is free. No tickets are available for purchase or required for general entry. Off-base parking will be available for a small fee.

I understand, but have you ever met a GI that didn't gripe about something? My only point is that I wouldn't let one anecdotal story spoil the image of our Thunderbirds. These brave aviators go on to serve as commanders who lead men into combat.

Verrrry cool. For some reason, my wonderful DH (a military pilot, by the way), never seems to want to go to airshows — maybe it feels too much like work?
