President Barack Obama made fun of the handicapped last night on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." He was making a joke about his bad bowling skills, but here's the question: If George W. Bush had said the same thing, would people be lashing out more? If so, why?
By the way, Kolan McConiughey, a Special Olympics competitor from Michigan, has bowled three perfect games of 300. Yes he can!
When your opponent is busy destroying himself, the best move is to stay out of the way.
Great slogan! Use it in good health. :0)
However, you can't blame TOTUS for the "special olympic" gaffe.
TOTUS was waiting in the presidential limo parked outside and had nothing to do with it.
That’s just a guy that lives in my neighborhood.
Meechelle Obomba
You know, I think you're right. I think I've misunderstood the whole TOTUS joke. OH NO! I'M DUMBER THAN OBAMA!
I'll go blow my brains out now...;0)
Why shouldn’t liberals be allowed to be prejudicial? After all, they’re more compassionate than conservatives.
Fight crass with crass? When GWB was refered to as “Chimpy McHitler”, The Chimp, etc., it was over the top. Due to race-baiting politics, if anyone became that crass, the place would be up for grabs.
Pretty dumb picture of him too. :)
...linking to picture now
As a former Special Olympian, who had learning disabilities when I was a child (plus was in special ed classes/full and part time), and got at least as an adult from community an associate’s degree, what PBO said WAS VERY HURTFUL. IMHO, PBO is ONE AND DONE, using a March Madness term after 4 years.
