President Barack Obama made fun of the handicapped last night on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." He was making a joke about his bad bowling skills, but here's the question: If George W. Bush had said the same thing, would people be lashing out more? If so, why?
By the way, Kolan McConiughey, a Special Olympics competitor from Michigan, has bowled three perfect games of 300. Yes he can!

Yes he would have been, but I honestly doubt Bush would have made this type of insensitive joke.

I know it would be a crass political move. But Fight Crass with Crass.
Bush would not have made an intentional insensitive comment like Zero, yet, he would have been crucified instead of skewered. He is still taking a beating for the “Mission Accomplished” sign.
Obama’s comment about the Special Olympics shows, once again, how classless this guy is. He doesn’t deserve to be president and will not be re-elected. The public is starting to realize what an empty-headed buffoon he really is.
He’s going to spend his entire four years in office campaigning because he doesn’t have a clue as to what the tasks are to live in the White House.
Having the privilege of living in the taxpayer-paid best mansion in the land is not about living at this address, it’s about doing a job for the taxpayers. Campaigning is not part of that job.

They would have spent four years making jokes if Bush had been the one that read the wrong speach off of the teleprompter and “thanked himself for inviting himself.”

The thing is that a joke like this is one thing amongst friends but certainly inappropriate in front of a national/international audience.

President Bush would never have had to apologize to Nancy Reagan for a seance slur, nor would he ever in a million years slur special needs children.
