Anyone having trouble accessing AR15.com?

Is anyone having trouble loading the AR15.com website? Whenever I try to load it, I get the standard IE "The page cannot be displayed" page. I've tried this on two different PCs in my house, with the same result.

I checked my Hosts file (for both domain and IP), but that's not the problem. Checked the Security tab of IE options -- *.ar15.com is listed in my Trusted Sites. Checked my firewall, and nothing there to prevent me from accessing the website.

I have accessed ar15.com in the past, so this is something new.

Using Pentium-750, Windows XP, IE 6, ZoneLabs ZoneAlarm firewall

Updates:

1. Anonymouse.org (anonymizer website) gets me in immediately and quickly, with both IE and Firefox

2. AR15.com's alternate URL -- AK47.net -- works with no problems on both browsers.

Will try your recommendation a little later, as it meshes with the advice I got from my ISP's tech support. I sent a message, asking if the ISP is blocking websites. Reply came back "... not currently blocking any sites from being accessed. I am able to reach the site from my end. Are you using a router? It is possible that the router blocked access to the site. You may try bypassing that to see if it helps."

I think that would be kind of weird, considering that (A) I've accessed AR15.com before, and (B) this is the original router (Siemens Slipstream) that I got from my ISP when I signed up for DSL service!

yeah, but routers can start going buggy.

At a minimum you should:

1. Turn off your computer
2. Turn off router
3. Turn off modem
4. Turn on modem - wait till it quits flashing
5. Turn on router - wait till you see it sync with the modem
6. Turn on/plug your computer into the router

Then try the sites again

try

tracert ar15.com

from an msdos box. It may show where it’s being dropped.

"unable to resolve target system name www.ar15.com"

Other websites -- such as FR -- the tracert shows all the hops.

And when I try to Ping, it works for other websites -- but not for ar15.com. I get "Ping request could not find host www.ar15.com"

My ISP assures me that it does not block any websites.

Something is screwing with your ability to resolve dns.

try this from the msdos box, and then try again.

ipconfig /flushdns

after this, I’m not sure where to go with it.

"Could not flush the DNS Resolver Cache: Function failed during execution."

The weird thing is that the same thing is happening on TWO computers (using the same DSL connection). That's weird because, with the 2nd PC, I rarely use it for online stuff -- mostly for just video and sound editing.

If it’s on two computers, I’d look outside the boxes themselves.

Have you rebooted your router? You could just log in, and release and reacquire dhcp.

maybe it would be interesting to see if you can et the site through an anonymizer site. I’ve never used it, but someone mentioned Anonymouse.org earlier.
