Something is screwing with your ability to resolve dns.

try this from the msdos box, and then try again.

ipconfig /flushdns

after this, I’m not sure where to go with it.

The weird thing is that the same thing is happening on TWO computers (using the same DSL connection). That's weird because, with the 2nd PC, I rarely use it for online stuff -- mostly for just video and sound editing.
