“Im kind of thinking that maybe Adam peaked too soon and that while Danny is remaining steady, Kris is slowly but steadily moving ahead.”
Good thought! What’s really a shock to me is how the producers have “hidden” all the stuff about Adam from the media. There’s A LOT out there on the NET as WE have found but it’s nothing like what happened to that kid last year(the gay stripper) or one of the girls who posed for the spring break stuff.
When Paula compared Adam to Mick Jaggar I almost did an Elvis and shot the TV set! I KNOW she’s on the juice but come on!!
The constant “pimping” of Rounds and Adam is getting nauseating!
To: Shelayne
Simon said (I think he was wrong) that Danny was screaming part of his song.
I thought gay Adam screamed most of the way through his and those high pitched notes are enough to make cats in heat look at the TV.
If Dial Idol is correct, Megan is done, gangrene arm and all.
To: Captain Beyond
If she had found her inner Joss Stone and did songs along that line with her voice she might have a chance. It's like she WANTS to go home!! There's no doubt she would have never even gotten to the top three, but if she worked it out, she could have sneaked into the top five. I'll bet somebody did tell her exactly the song sucked, but she did it anyway because she L-O-V-E-D it!
I'm one of her biggest fans in case nobody here knows, but there's no doubt she deserves to get the boot!
What are the odds she stays?

At any rate, Im ready for her to go. AT some point stupidity overshadows any potential talent. That point has been reached, imo.No doubt! It's no surprise with the novel tat arm she has a rebellious streak and somebody was probably screaming, Don't do THAT song, but she "LOVED" it don'tcha know!! Darned shame!

Yeah, I know what you mean. They are running perilously close to ruining the show.
Dial Idol has Danny, Kris and Adam rounding out the top 3, and Anoop, Allison and Megan as the bottom 3.
I don’t understand why Allison keeps winding up in the bottom 3.

So, in essence, they had no theme this week, just a plug for the iTunes sponsor (and Ryan's radio show). The good news is that we're really starting to see some differentiation among the group -- there's a couple of tiers forming, and it's getting more consistent. For the week:
- Kris - I see why he got the "pimp slot". This was a good arrangement of an older song, which worked well for him and kept it from sounding "copycat", and he performed it well. Was it technically perfect? No, but there was nothing that kept me from enjoying it.
- Danny - A solid performance, and he looked a lot less goofy up there this week.
- Allison - The wardrobe choice was bad, song choice was good -- whoever is advising her (if she's not doing it all on her own) is very smart in that regard. If she had come out in a simple leather jacket and jeans, maybe the judges would have focused more on performance.
- Adam - I hate the song anyway, and this arrangement made it worse. Adam, once again, goes way over the top... this was "musical revue" level stuff, not radio play.
- Matt - Poor song choice, forgettable performance, but still comes off better in comparison to...
- Scott - I like the song, and it fits his "vibe", but the performance came across to me like something you'd hear in a piano bar, not on the radio or at a concert. Don't get me wrong, I like piano bars.. it's just not American Idol.
- Anoop - Loyalty to the token nerd only goes so far. He's just starting to look cartoonish to me. A good singer, but out of his depth in this group.
- Lil - What was with all of the praise from the judges? This was awful; I could count on one hand the number of notes that weren't flat, and at least twice that number were painfully out of tune. I get no star quality out of her at all, and if you're going to sing Celine Dion stuff, you've got to nail it.
- Megan - Cute girl, but this just felt awkward, as if she was still trying to learn he song. I know some of it is her voice quality, but it sounded shaky and looked uncomfortable.
And now, my first overall rankings of the year:
- Danny - He's got a good story and a good voice. If he can pick up a bit on the stage performance side, he could be formidable.
- Allison - She knows who she is, and she's good at it. I worry that she's already seen the bottom three once, but I see nothing for her other than getting better and better. Big question mark: can she handle the pressure?
- Kris - A couple of weeks ago, I'd be trying to remember him. If he can keep up like he has the last two weeks, forgetting him won't be so easy.
- Adam - Mad vocal chops, but way, way "over the top" (dare I say "flamboyant"?). The teen girls drooling over him are barking up the wrong tree.
- Matt - Solid performer, but needs to define himself better. I have a hard time seeing him winning the competition, but he should be around for a while.
- Lil - No star power, poor song selections, not as good of a performer as she thinks she is.
- Scott - Very repetitive, and probably only still in this competition as a sympathy choice.
- Megan - She's different, for sure. But is she actually good?
- Anoop - He's a fun guy, but can't hold up against the upper tier.

Paula sounds like she's heavily medicated tonight. That, and reading from pre-written notes. I think she does her evaluations at the dress rehearsal so she doesn't have to actually think through the "medicine" on show night.

Who would have imagined David Cook breaking from the pack at this time last season? For the record, I did. :)
To: retrokitten
I think they’ll use their save on Allison which means if Adam is eliminated they can’t save him.

For some reason I picture sex with the Sham Wow guy as him chasing the prostitute around the room snapping her butt with a giant wet Sham Wow with her making high pitch screams and giggling and him saying Hey I can do this all day long. into his head set. LOL! I bet he leaves his socks on, too.

I think they should send TWO home tonight....
FYI..I'm really starting to like Allison. Click here to see what I'd love to see Allison do on AI, if she gets the chance.. Note the physical similarity, and they both have the "pipes"...and even the movements are the same..and the hair....I'm not telling who it is..want to surprise you....

After thinking over the last few weeks, I think we are finally starting to see some separation between this years contestants.
We are really down to 3 people vying for the title, with 2 others that think they are.
Right now I see the competition breaking down this way:
Contenders - Danny, Adam, Kris All 3 have been consistently solid in thier vocals. Danny has made an emotional connection with the fans, while Adam and Kris are showing that they are miles ahead in musical composition and making it thier own.
Pretenders - Lil and Allison I wont completely write them off, but both are showing weaknesses that drop them away from the top 3. Lil is showing that while she can sing, she is a very limited singer in range and ability. Allison on the other hand is vocally as good as the top3 but fails in the Make it her own and likability department. She comes across as trying to hard to be the rebellious Teen Voice and as I told Mrs Commish she is turning a lot of people against her because they look at her as the girl they would least like to see Junior come home with
Also rans - Anoop, Scott, Matt, Megan each of these has too many flaws to go much furthur. Anoop and Matt have had Moments but are way to inconsistent. They can be fantastic and then can be painfully bad. Scott is consistent, but consistent mediocrity will not win AI. And Megan, dear dear Megan, Bless her heart. Need I sat more.

Yeah, that would be a good choice. Maybe if she makes it to that week where the judges pick a song someone will pick that for her.
