It’s too late (at this time, in his life), for him to be out to lunch, so he must be out to supper.

Drawer possums. Long story.
To: sweetliberty
Do tell!
Something similar happened in our house, almost gave my poor husband a heart attack. He went in the basement pulled out a drawer to get something and 2 little beady eyes hissed at him. Took a couple days but he trapped it and animal control took it away. They said it was a teenage male; the mother had chased him off when she had the new brood. He moved into our basement.

Well, the mother of this brood left the whole batch apparently. Took several weeks and at least 7 relocations to get rid of all them. Meanwhile, they kept turning up in the drawers.....all over the house. They started out quite small. By the time I got rid of the last ones, they were getting fairly good-sized. It’s funny in retrospect, but at the time it was getting quite exasperating.

And, as is usual with odd happenings, it was blamed upon myself being that I am the resident weird magnet.

I think the best part was “Drawer one: Possum. Drawer 2: possum. Drawer 3:Possum. Drawer 4: Hey, Jackpot! Possums!”

You do seem quite proud of that. Actually, it was 3 drawers in a row (side by side)....in the kitchen....in the middle of the night. Next morning, 2 possums INSIDE the bag of cotton balls in the middle bathroom drawer.
