As the tea party rallies of regular hard working productive Americans continues around the nation is it not time to come up with a logo for the resistance?
Should we not have a flag to rally around and carry into battle as our founders did? Certainly the American flag is more than worthy as is the great "Don't Tread on Me" flag but I think the creative minds of FREEP can come up with something for this great cause.
Get to work. Wolverines!!!!
Excellent idea!
I have a Don’t Tread On Me decal in the back window of my car and doubt if too many people even know what it is or it’s meaning.
A variation of the Sons of Liberty Flag.
How about the old hat the Patriots wore during the times of the American Revolution. You know, like the TEA PARTY?
Though you die, La Resistance lives on!
How about the Obama symbol with a red line through it and the motto “No Hope!”
In electricity, “resistance” is measured in ohms. The symbol for that is the Greek letter omega. It looks like a horseshoe. It’s the last letter of the alphabet; it is half of a fanatastic designation for Christ (alpha and omega, beginning and end, first and last); and it could symbolize the hoped-for “end” of this national nightmare.http://eightprime.net/wp-content/uploads/2007/06/omega8.gif

That’s good. Something symbolic then and now.
This, and a previous version you may have seen, are my own work.
Love it!
You have a great idea, but it’s too sophisticated for liberals to recognize if they see it on our cars. Many of them are not educated people and wouldn’t know what the symbol for an ohm was if it bit ‘em in the backside.
Kill a Commie for Mommy.
What about a representation of an “air ball.” An empty suit attempting a 3 point shot and the ball falling 5 feet short of the basket.
Across the bottom Tea doff
Has your car been vandalized in “liberal” neighborhoods?
Where can I get one?

As I started thinking about a flag for the recent tea party efforts, it only made sense that the original tea party flag would be appropriate, so I began a little more research on the subject. It turns out that the flag above was actually used by some of George Washingtons troops (naval flag)
The Pine Tree Flag was one of the flags used during the American Revolution. The flag, featuring a pine tree flag with the motto An Appeal to God, or, more usually, An Appeal to Heaven. was used originally by a squadron of six cruisers commissioned under George Washingtons authority as commander in chief of the Continental Army in October 1775. It was also used by Massachusetts state navy vessels in addition to privateers sailing from Massachusetts.[1]
The Massachusetts General Court established the flag of the state navy on July 26, 1776: that the Colours be a white Flagg, with a green Pine Tree, and an Inscription, Appeal to Heaven.
The phrase Appeal to Heaven is used multiple times by John Locke in his work, Two Treatises of Government. The phrase connotes that after all other alternatives of seeking justice have been exhausted, only an appeal to heaven remains.
