An Allen woman said she got a painful reminder two weeks ago of the wild -- while jogging in a suburban neighborhood.
The 39-year-old woman, who asked she not be identified, said a coyote took a bite out of her thigh as she rounded a curve on a popular Allen jogging trail.
"I think I surprised it," she said. "That's what the problem was. It was dark, really quiet, and it probably thought I was attacking it."

My dog used to collect coyote heads for me (from traps) and their teeth are very different: much denser, bigger, thicker than dogs’.
I’ve felt threatened by a pack of coyotes but never by a single one. I chase *them* down.

The victim is clearly a Libtard who knows nothing of predator behavior. That ‘yote knew what she was. It also sensed she was defenseless and decided to feed, on her leg.
She is fortunate the little beastie didn’t make a successful neck bite or she would have been food for a number of coyotes.
When predators are not kept fearful of man, sooner or later, they attack man.
When gunpowder speaks, predators obey.
Works equally well with predators on two or four legs.
Take your dog(s) along when you jog, day or night.
That’s Allen, Texas, just north of Dallas, south of McKinney, on Highway 75. You wouldn’t necessarily call it “out in the country”...
I’ve gone out there several times, from Dallas, to Allen Premium Outlets. I guess I’ll have to look out for those coyotes next time I’m out shopping... LOL..

Coyotes can be very dangerous animals, and they are becoming more so. They have good “tactical intelligence”, and are adapting to urban areas where they feed on wild rabbits, cats, dogs and garbage.
It is highly likely that they will soon add human toddlers to their menu. Google “coyote attack toddler” for the most recent attacks.
Importantly, coyote intelligence is very different from wolf intelligence. Adult wolves can have the intelligence of about a 5 year old human. A couple of years ago, there was some suspicion that East of the Mississippi, wolves and coyotes were starting to cross breed.
Even on speculation, it was determined that such a cross should be killed before it could propagate, as the breed would be a threat to people of all ages.
Yeah, that's the ticket. Coyotes never see or smell people coming along on foot. I stumble over them all the time out here on the high plains. What an idjit.

The thought of large domestic dogs interbreeding with coyotes bothers me too. IE, shepherds, rotties, labs, bullmastiffs, etc. One good reason, unless you’re a breeder, to neuter your dogs. Coyotes are not necessarily rural dogs anymore.
