Went to a "We Surround Them" event in Holyoke MA today. The event seemed very productive. We introduced ourselves and started to organize. We decided to get together with another group to watch Glen Beck's show on Friday the thirteenth, and to have another meeting on the fourteenth.
One person volunteered to find a local civic organization that would allow us to meet at their location. Two are going to look into competing with ACORN for some of the money alloted to "community organizations". We have a professor/author that has agreed to lectures. We took up a collection to provide for web access.
The ages of those attending varied from 25 to late sixties. We had students, business people, un-employed and stay at homes.
We discussed literature available. A rep from the RNC was available.
It is time to take our country back or go down fighting
When I told them I was reporting back to FR they were all quite thrilled.
Nice, what was the attitude like among the people who attended?
Nice job!!
We got together in the Portland area yesterday!
With us, Oregon is no longer lost.
Granted, metro Portland is a lost cause, forget them. We will take back the rest of the state, there are FAR too many people in Oregon utterly unrepresented in the Government here. Time for THAT to stop!
The attitude was angry but upbeat. Very much unlike the liberal gatherings where everyone is a victim and to angry to speak clearly. The people there were well mannered, well spoken, friendly, cheerful and purpose driven.
I was in Holyoke recently. If you want to see what big gov’t and liberalism can do to a city, go there. Once a model of the industrial revolution, the old buildings are empty and crumbling. Reminded me of what I saw in Russia.

Geez...we now have an all-in-one in the oval office...
Good work, fellow Sick Twisted Freaks! (Refer to Glenn’s radio show - I’m really calling you an endearing name.) Take back MA for the union!
“didn’t ask, and if there was it was not apparent”
reread that and I am afraid I sounded smart alecky...it was supposed to be kind of a joke about the liberal elite showing up...
actually, we had the event in Barnes and noble; some liberals did show up and walk away laughing. Others were curious!

You frequent book stores yet fail to capitalize?
There's a switch.
