Okay, I had a mental image of him with his tongue stuck to the ice, not the other end.

But the other way is a good way to meet chicks.

Did the human who rescued him have a little jug of brandy fastened around his neck?

Ha, I would most certainly hope so. And the little brandy jug would have a few XXXs on it as well.

Some Canadian friends told us that their cat, after wrestling with their dog in the yard, became frozen to the ground. Dog slobber in the cats fur was the culprit. They had to chisel the cat loose. Speaking as a south Texan I can't even imagine how cold it would have to be to do that.

Well, I’ve been out when it’s cold enough that if you spit on an upward angle it bounces and cracks when it hits.

We call it “painful cold”.

No chisel - use cold water.

That may be what they told me but it has been about 30 years since they told me the story. They live in Alabama now.

We were in Alberta hunting deer and they told us there was hoar frost. It was sparkling in the air, is that cold enough to freeze spit? If yes, then I guess it was cold enough to freeze a wet cat to the ground. Yikes. at least I was dressed warm enough not like the time I went out in my south Texas hunting clothes.
