Wide receiver Terrell Owens is out in Dallas after three seasons, Cowboys sources told FOXSports.com.
The move to cut Owens comes a season after the team gave him a four-year, $34 million extension that included a $12 million bonus. When asked about now cutting the receiver, one Cowboys source said, "It was the right thing to do," alluding to the fact that the team is trying to create a more harmonious locker room.

Now you’re gonna hear how the Cowboys are nuts for cutting him since he’s such a good wide receiver.
You could give Romo a Jerry Rice in his prime, and he’ll still find a way a choke in the big game.

Maybe the guy will wake up now. Cutting is a pretty drastic step by the Cowboys. They’ll only stink a little less without him.

Personally, I wish Terrell Owens would just drop off the face of the planet. He is an obnoxious, egotistical, overhyped fool. In addition, he has somehow managed to destroy every team that has him. I know someone will pick him up and will pay him well, but I just don’t understand it. Talent that destroys the team is worthless.
The guy isn’t going to wake up. This is the second time. He always has someone to blame. He is a cancer, and I’m a huge Cowboys fan. Even his act wore me out last year. You can’t knock the number of touchdowns the guy catches, but he also drops a lot of passes.
Big mistake. T.O. was the only dependable wide receiver they’ve had the last two years. Roy Williams is a bust and the others on the roster are marginal NFL players at best.
Witten is marginal?
T.O. would drop the easy passes too. I think he was overrated. Give me a Drew Pearson, Tony Hill or Golden Richards!
When you have someone like T.O. who has a ‘tude, the other players get sick of him. Tom Landry would cut these guys no matter how good they were. Landray canned Duane Thomas and Hollywood Henderson and they were both excellent players.
