Poll: Obama's rating at all-time high NBC/WSJ poll shows gap between popularity of president and his policies WASHINGTON - After Barack Obama's first six weeks as president, the American public's attitudes about the two political parties couldn't be more different, the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll finds.

Despite the country's struggling economy and vocal opposition to some of his policies, President Obama's favorability rating is at an all-time high. Two-thirds feel hopeful about his leadership and six in 10 approve of the job he's doing in the White House.

"What is amazing here is how much political capital Obama has spent in the first six weeks," said Democratic pollster Peter D. Hart, who conducted this survey with Republican pollster Bill McInturff. "And against that, he stands at the end of this six weeks with as much or more capital in the bank."

Typical BDS still in play...

According to the poll, part of the reason why Obama’s numbers remain high despite these economic concerns is that the public doesn’t blame the president for the current state of the economy. Eighty-four percent say this is an economy Obama inherited, and two-thirds of those people think he has at least a year before he’s responsible for it.

So..does that mean that after only six weeks, 4 in 10 disapprove of his job performance? Just think what it’s going to be when everyone opens their 401K statements next month.

think he has at least a year before he’s responsible for it.

Typical. Although, I think the American people will wake up before then.

Boy, the Dems and Obama have got to love these MSNBC/WSJ polls. This one shows an all-time high approval rating, and another gives the Dems a 2-1 margin over the GOP in handling the economy. If those numbers are true, then 2010 will be a massive blowout loss for Republicans.

Doesn't matter. When these idiots' jobs and money run out their "hope" and "approval" will tank as well.

It will be a case of "the bigger they come the harder they fall," if GOP einsteins have the damn sense to tell the truth to the American people instead of sitting in a fetal crouch in the corner with their hands over their gonads.

Does anyone really believe these polls are anything but what a true poll would say? I am sure the messiah has a handler for this, who waits for the messiah to give him a daily number.

68. Tell them my numbers are at 68%. Tomorrow say 67%, just to throw everyone off the scent.

What’s interesting is that Bush was not only blamed for 9/11, but in some nutball circles has been accused of being the LEADER of the assault. And that happened 8 months after he took office. But we have to wait a year to lay any sort of responsibility at bambi’s feet. I’m willing to bet it’s gonna be longer than that.

MSNBC had to create a bogus poll to contradict the Rasmussen polls that O’s approval rating has gone down to 59%.
