Yes, but it's not conservative to go out of your way to unnecessarily offend people on our side, or even the other side.

It is conservative to be polite, have manners, offer constructive criticism and be honest regarding issues even if our opinions are sometimes offensive. But to be rude without a point....that's not conservative. It's just bad manners. And I love Ann. For now, she's the number one conservative pundit in my eyes, but sometimes she goes overboard.

You said it better than I could...using slurs against gays doesn’t help us fight the gay agenda with regard to marriage, schools, etc. It gives people an excuse to demonize us and limits our ability to fight on that issue. Same thing with ethnic/racial slurs. Hey...she could clear this up by explaining what she meant.

I agree about Coulter. She is after Steyn probably my favorite these days. I agree she does like to rattle some people’s cages. Some of her cage rattling, I might have passed on.

I must differ with you about manners and cconservative. Conservative is about maximizing freedom which requires limiting government. You can be mannerly and be liberal, conservative or neutral. Manners are about being nice to others. Sometimes in political discourse you dont want to be nice to others. That does no change your political philosophy. A nice leftist is still a leftist, being mannerly does not make them conservative.
