Ann Coulter has gone too far...
anncoulter.com 2/25/2009 column ^

Posted on 03/02/2009 9:27:04 PM PST by publius_in_abq

Ann Coulter has always been a valiant fighter in the intellectual battle for conservatism. I even have a couple of her books, but she has gone too far this time. She's irritated me for a while now (didn't buy the last 2 books) and it has finally reached a tipping point:

1. It is one thing to criticize the partisanship and naive policy positions of the Jersey Girls, but it is another thing to start saying disparaging things about their husbands possibly leaving those "harpies".

2. It is one thing to criticize John Edwards for hypocrisy and being an intellectual lightweight, but it is another thing to use a sexual slur against him.

The latest slur against Bobbie Jindal is the final straw, and unfortunately it took her slandering a conservative for me to lose my patience with her. If this was an attempt at making fun of absurdity by being abdsurd (i.e. the liberal slurs against Jindal made by Helen Thomas, Malloy, etc.) then she needs to go on record and explain as such. As I read her column, this was just a slur against him for saying a few nice words about the POTUS. It was not a great speech in terms of delivery or clarity, but was her comment about being in "Slumdog Millionaire" really called for? I've had enough of this from her...she is constantly belligerent with people for no reason (O'Reilly who is not a great conservative, but why she'd want to alienate a center-right person of such power and influence is beyond me). And I'm not sure what she was referring to in her CPAC speech about Afghanistan being a quagmire. She is on the verge of becoming a liability to us now, and undermining her own intellectual brilliance (e.g. the illegitimacy portion of her recent book) with needless bombast. Maybe I'm just over-reacting because I am a Jindal fan...what does everyone else think? I'm frustrated...

For cripes sake! She didn’t attack Jindal.

Every coupla months, we get another “Ann Coulter has gone too far” vanity.

And by the way, I did read your post, “genius”. She’s pissed you off at least twice, but you STILL keep reading her columns. That says more about you than it does about her.

You need to calm down...it is detrimental to attack one of our own for such a mild reason as being polite to the POTUS. I had no problem with her criticizing Jindal for being polite to the POTUS (I too think he should have attacked more). And If Jindal was on board with the POTUS’s policies, attack him for that. But what does Slumdog Millionaire have to do with anything? How is that constructive?

Ann Coulter can say some very great things .. and then she turns around and gets mean, and meaner. To be perfectly honest with you I gave up on Ann when Catie Couric nailed her during an interview.

Everyone thought Ann was so much smarter and Catie demolished her. How? She caught Ann in a lie and that sort of discredit, was not something she could recover from.

Like I said she does say some decent things too. It’s hard not to throw the baby out with the bathwather. But I too .. and over her.

OF the dozen or so times you have ever posted on FR I see you have also trashed Gov. Palin.

I see a thread here, trash Ann Coulter, Gov. Palin,
lets see anyother conservative women you want to trash.

That sound you hear is DU calling you home.

“Slumdog Millionaire” won Oscars. Ann was giving Jindal an award...

Ann, Ann, Ann!!!!!

How can you dismiss Reagan’s 1st Law?????

As much as I like her acerbic wit, she should keep it pointed at the proper targets.

Steele, a potential star, has committed Conservacide (or is that libercide?). Put a fork in him.

Don’t send on of our other stars, who appears to be a committed Conservative, down the chute.

If your talking about this, 85% of what she's talking about is criticizing 0bama for all the money he will be spending on "education," which is nothing more than payback for the teachers unions. The other stuff at the beginning doesn't bother me.

How did I trash Palin? I am a fan, but I don’t think she can win in 2012. I wished she had broken from the handlers and that McCain didn’t get her under wraps.

exactly...and she is dead right on all of the writing on education in that article. But again, what is the point of attacking Jindal? And BTW, Rush is right, Steele is wrong, and will likely be coming on his show to apologize soon.

Don’t you understand, the time for convincing is over — it’s now the time for standing up and battling, tooth and nail, the domestic enemy — the bullying Democrats and their consort RINOs. Unless we do so we will be forever f—ked. In this regard Ann is an inspiration, not a drawback.

I really don’t understand your DNC comment...I’ve posted before that the internal fightng we have on the right shows the health of our movement. But this makes no sense. Palin had some bad interviews (not the Bush Doctrine...she answered that fine), and I didn’t think she did well in the debate with Biden, even though a lot of his points were outright lies or wrong. That makes me a DNCer?

You are over reacting. It is a leftist thing to constantly get your feelings hurt. We conseratives accept that freedome of speech gives people the right to say things we don’t like or that might even hurt our feelings.

BTW, I missed the “slur” in Coulter’s column.

Its taken you this long to realize what and who she is?

Actually you thought she was cool until the criticism she dispenses starting reaching into your tribes.
