I propose the government require all new toilets be built with governors that will prohibit the toilet from flushing if more than one square of TP is used. All existing toilets will have to be converted before the year 2011. The converter kit will cost $29.95 but the government will issue vouchers for the elderly and the poor to help offset the cost. It will be called the Sheryl Crow Converter Kit.

This article is just plain wrong. Americans farm trees to make paper. There are more trees now than ever before. They do not cut down the rain forest to make toilet paper!

New taxes of toilet paper?
In England they used be tough - they had a type of toilet paper that consisted of little sheets of wax paper that came in a box. Neither soft not absorbent. I don’t even know how women could use it. The strange thing is that some people actually preferred it. A relative of mine used to bring some along when she visited the US.

The vendor says “ahh, si!” and offers him a roll of TP.
This is what it all comes down too. We aren’t using too much of the world’s resources or forcing the world to do WITHOUT. We just have it too good.
So we have to go with stinky euro toilets, low water pressure shower heads, no AC, etc.
Might as well get used to living under Islamic law sooner than later...
As Christmas becomes outlawed, be ready to use pine scented TP made from pine trees and pine cones.
