Most Americans, I believe, thought all the race-baiting rhetoric might have finally come to an end. Apparently they were wrong.
Eric Holder says we need to keep on talking about race having frank conversations.
OK, I'll take the bait. Let's talk frankly about race.

Uhh, word?
NEW??? More like for the last 15-20 years if you’re talking about hiring/retention.
New color of privilege?
My friend, since affirmative action was installed, it has always been the color of privilege. I have watched management quiver and shake when a certain minority was underperforming and they were terrified to fire the individual, due to the fear of a lawsuit. Even when one is in the right, litigation can get very pricey.
While I do think we were dreadful in the pre-civil rights days, I don’t think affirmative action was the right response.
The blacks are going to help themselves to more of everything since the store has been opened up.
More excuses, more entitlements, more race baiting and hustling.
Yes we are cowards for letting them take charge of everything under the premise of guilt over past indiscressions. enough is enough. No need for quotas or hiring preferences or minority contractor preference.
Time for promotions based on merit.
Since at least the 60’s it has been the color of privilege especially for civil service, the media, academia etc. I can recall a time when virtually every college had a Black Student Body President. At least that wasn’t forced on them by the government but does show just how strongly the media and academia’s propaganda has affected people.
I once read a managers book in a civil service organization which just plainly told them how to get minorities into postitions when they were less qualified. Also saw the same thing for one of the major networks saying that manager’s promotion and even retention depended on how much the pushed affirmative action.. Basically they were being forced to favor Blacks and other minorities.
Apparently this has not been noticed by most people. Sort of like the elephant in the room which no one sees.
Yet they will still be on TV saying they have to work twice as hard since they are Black. I have seen that phrase at least twice in the last year.
Of course everyone then just agrees with them that they had to work twice as hard.
Hopefully the growing hispanic minority will create enough worry among blacks about losing their “favored” status that they’ll lay off whitey for awhile.
I don’t blame the Blacks, though. They were just taking advantage of the system. I blame those who implemented the system.
Look at all those lined up with their hands out for the bailout? Can we blame them, really? But the buffoons at the controls are ready to pass out all the monopoly money they can print as fast as it comes off their little presses.
When I was job hunting recently I lost count of the number of jobs that encouraged “diversity” candidates to apply - code for Whitey Need Not Apply.
You cant be racist. Racist is a racist term that can only be applied to light skin folks.
Yes
Look, Ladyjane, I don’t think it’s right but why do you blame the takers? Seriously. Do you really expect people to be that self-disciplined and not take a free handout when it’s offered? I don’t have such a utopian view of the human species.
Oddly enough, I was thinking the same things watching American Idol tonight. Every single singer sounds exactly alike, and what they sound like is black singers. Vocal gymnastics take precendence. Black culture drives art, fashion and social interaction. Allegations of white racism are ridiculous.
If the individuals had been prudent they wouldn’t need a handout.
Yes, I blame all those people who threw caution to the wind, didn’t save, and charged thousands on their credit cards.
IT’S NOT MY PROBLEM!!! IT’S THEIRS. Why should I have to pay their bills?
I’m sorry you had to watch that. Where is all this going? in your opinion?
Welcome to the negroization of America
This is why we fought the Civil war
I fought nothing. What did you fight?
It's a position I've held for a while. If you look at our culture, what you see is what Joe Farah pointed out.
Black culture is not suppressed; it is embraced in America.
More popular singers sound like James Brown than Frank Sinatra; hip hop English is more mainstream than traditional English; his comment about the gbaggy pants is certainly tru; and being able to rhyme a few words and call it "music" denigrates all of the greats like Jerome Kern, Rodgers and Hammerstein and Lerner and Lowe.
Our culture now follow black culture. And white America are the oppressors?
Who to lead?
