National Review Editor Rich Lowry first discussed President Barack Obama's speech last night and talked about his new book "Banquo's Ghosts." Next, we welcomed Co-Author of "Once a Marine," Nick Popaditch to share his story about the war in Iraq and his day-to-day life of a career Marine noncommissioned staff officer. In our final hour, Author of "All About All About Eve," "When Blanche Met Brando," "Close-up on Sunset Boulevard," Sam Staggs expounded on his new book "Born to Be Hurt," which takes on the classic 1959 Douglas Sirk film starring Lana Turner.
Second Hour 10 PM EST features an interview with the author of "Once a Marine", Nick Popaditch.
Great interview with an American Hero.
God bless him for his servic and sacrifice.
Thought I’d PING ya for the feature on “Once a Marine” in the second hour! I heard this interview in the AM and it was excellent!
Great stuff!
It’s just KRLA on the west coast. The station is in Glendale, (L.A.) CA. Sometimes he’s pretty good. KRLA870.com.
Ooops, force of habit.
Thanks for the correction.
I actually just go by Townhall Radio, but it is easily found through a quick search for “KRLA”.
Miller’s better now than he was when he was on MSNBC. FOX should give him a shot.
Marine Staff Noncommissioned Officer - SNCO
I’m sorry, but I don’t have a clue where on the site to click so I can listen to Dennis Miller on the radio this morning.
I fell asleep last night.
The guy was great, wasn’t he??
Very humble and down to earth.
It’s that way with a lot of the shows I listen to at Townhall, but it seems like everyone needs to charge a subscription now. Doesn’t cost that much, but I would have to pick and choose.
I get bits and pieces of this show in the AM, but I’m working so it would be hard to post a live thread ~ even though I work from home.
When Miller’s show got started a couple years back we had a pretty active group, but it petered out.
Something that we tried toward the end was to post one thread and use it for an entire week, just pinging the group and picking up the following day.
Maybe I’ll try that. I just been pinging individuals here and there ~ let me know if you may wish to be on such a list.
There should be a pic of the host in the upper left hand corner with a big red “listen live” button just below the headshot.
Sign me up! Also, we have a local dude (Chris Plante) I usually catch in the morning, so I use Radiotime.com to catch DM in the evening. It’s a very useful site.
Can do.
The Plantman!!
Then you MUST know Sylvie.
The one and only from Waldorf.
I’ll see if I can’t maintain the list begining next week. I’ll post-Monday and PINGT that same list through the week. I could probably only post during the evening show streamed from KRLA.
I guess we’ll see what happens?
I have to say that the most cordial FRiendships that I’ve made have come through connections at Miller’s show. There’s a mix of FReeps who simply hate Miller and I’m sure they’ll drop by.
That should be fun, too.
Hey, God bless and thanks for your service. I come from a Navy family. My bro was USNA ‘83.
Go Navy!
