Oh, come on. I decided I loved this show when Echo said "Four brothers..." chambers round "...none of them Democrats."
Gotta love that.
If the writers don't get on the ball, the whole show is heading for the dumpster.
One line out of forty-two minutes. Hmmmmmm..... Not.
The visuals are nice but there just doesn't seem to be any story behind it.
You win..
Yeah, the first episode was kind of boring, but the second one gave us a whole lot more background, a villain, and stuff like that so I think the show is still setting up the premise a little. It’s not Whedon’s best work, but Buffy wasn’t any better during season 1, and even Angel took a few episodes to get going when it had well-established characters where everyone knew their stories already - I think a lot of the people who are disappointed are the ones who expected it to be spectacular right away, like Firefly was.
Oh, and I love the FBI agent, and the sub-plot with his neighbor looks like it could be pretty cute.
At this juncture, it seems that Joss is betting that the "nice visuals" will carry the show. And they are nice indeed, but not enough to hold my interest, so I hope it picks up.
The FBI agents neighbor is from the Dollhouse, sent to distract him. Bet on it.
Hmmm, that’s possible with the neighbor, although he is cute enough that it’s possible she’s just a neighbor who’s got a crush. Either way, I’d more happily bet on the fact that she will end up dying or betraying him, because Joss can not allow any of his characters to end up in happy, stable relationships...
