Obamaspeak: Where Every Word means its Opposite
FreeRepublic.com | February 20, 2009 | All of us

Posted on 02/20/2009 8:22:41 AM PST by Jess Kitting

It has become increasingly evident that Mr. Obama is speaking to us in code.

Whatever he says means its exact opposite. A few examples:

"Hope" means "Despair"
"Transparent" means "Hidden from View"
"Clean" means "Corrupt"
"Fair" means "Intolerant and Unjust"
"Fiscal Responsibility" means "Debt"
"Change" means "More of the Same"
"Peace" means "There will be War"

Now this deluded man is the head of our Armed Forces.

Perhaps the military may have to take control to get control back in safe hands.

Hussein is a confidence man:

A confidence trick or confidence game (also known as a bunko, con, flim flam, gaffle, grift, hustle, scam, scheme, or swindle) is an attempt to defraud a person or group by gaining their confidence.

The first known usage of the term “confidence man” in English was in 1849; it was used by American press during the United States trial of William Thompson. Thompson chatted with strangers until he asked if they had the confidence to lend him their watches, whereupon he would walk off with the watch; he was captured when a victim recognized him on the street.[1]

The term ‘scam’ is often used to describe the ‘confidence trick’ employed by a ‘confidence man’. The origin of this word is thought to come from the Irish phrase ‘S cam é (pron. s’cam ae) meaning ‘it is a trick’ [2]

“obstructionist” means anyone that does not agree with me.

"I won." means STFU

"Send directions via underground railroad...."

Just head toward Galt's Gulch and turn right at Shangri-La. You'll know you're in the right place when you smell gun solvent.

Orwellian stuff, this Obamaspeak.
When I first read 1984, things like this seemed farfetched:

“The Ministry of Truth, which concerned itself with news, entertainment, education and the fine arts. The Ministry of Peace, which concerned itself with war. The Ministry of Love, which maintained law and order. And the Ministry of Plenty, which was responsible for economic affairs. “

“Then the face of Big Brother faded away again and instead the three slogans of the Party stood out in bold capitals:

WAR IS PEACE
FREEDOM IS SLAVERY
IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH”

But now it is reality under BHO.

These contradiction of terms are known as Orwellian “Newspeak”. The first step to control thought is to control the language.

People whose business is to draw our attention to the "urgent" and thereby distract us from the important are "objective." People with the self-same attitudes as journalists are "liberal" or "progressive;" such people can become "objective" without any other change than getting a job as a journalist.

People who believe in and promote liberty - the ability to do things differently, and do new things - are "conservative." Whereas people who oppose liberty and the freedom to try to progress are "liberal" or "progressive."
