In light of the call for a new tea party, why not make it so?

So many in washington want to give us more and more goodies, how about letting us keep our freedom?

this has been dicussed already, they don’t allow food to be delivered to the white house. A photo of a teabag was the suggestion

I would think that Barney Frank would welcome a good tea bag.

While it is the historical home of the original tea-related protest, Operation Teabag means something much, much different in Barney Frank’s district.

Wherever standing armies are kept up, and the right of the people to keep and bear arms is, under any colour or pretext whatsoever, prohibited, liberty, if not already annihilated, is on the brink of destruction.

True. That’s a good idea about a picture of one.

For such modern crass imagery the name gives, there’s something keenly impotent when comparing the original Boston Tea Party to sending little bags of tea to one’s representative. The statement to me would be one of a nation castrated, unable to offer any attempt at freedom other than using the meekest of symbolism.

Ha. I completely agree. How about "Operation Tetley."

Definitions listed at:
http://www.answers.com/topic/boston-tea-party "Patriots known as Sons of Liberty."

At that sight, the US History Encyclopedia states:
The British East India Company, facing severe financial reverses, convinced Parliament to allow them to sell tea in the American colonies at a price that would undercut even smuggled Dutch tea, and raise revenue while clearing their warehouses of a huge surplus. Unfortunately, this tea would still carry the despised three-pence per pound tax, which had remained as a token duty, and would be sold through only a handful of dealers in America. This high-handed policy united small merchants, left out of the deal, with patriot organizations that protested the tax.

And how the Brits defined it at:
http://www.encyclopedia.com/doc/1O43-BostonTeaParty.html The Boston Tea Party: marked a stage on the road from resistance to insurrection in North America.

WHAT WE MUST READ CLOSELY is that BEFORE the Tea Party, they held lots of meetings. FIRST the State Meetings, then a March on Washington, AND THEN, THE TEA BAGS.

We need to do this in the correct order. Because it will appear to be "an insurrection" to the current President's Team and will in their minds give them opportunity to place this Great Nation under Martial Law.
