It Was A Good Run For Our Republic - Here is an idea below that may give us one last chance.

The US Constitution is toast with this "porkulus bill" shoved down our throats in secrecy, we are now pretty much guaranteed that our Republic is gone. It's been coming for some time, as many of us have been warning. The Utopians in Congress and the Obama Branch have done so much harm to our Republic in these first few weeks they have been in power it is now obvious that we are losing the political battle for our Nation.

History has shown that "power corrupts absolutely". However, that very axiom has also shown, once realized, that it can be the catalyst for change. Maybe, just maybe, with their absolute power they won't see my suggestion below coming at them...just give me a moment to explain.

THINK ABOUT THIS FOR A MOMENT:

Those who would still fight, what recourse do you have?
Voting? How's that worked out for us so far without term-limits which would take a Constitutional Amendment?
Marches on DC? Right, like enough conservatives can get together to make a difference.
Civil disobedience? As if everyday working stiffs will risk being arrested for barging into the Congressional chambers and committees. No-load liberals spray-paint the Capitol steps and are willing to be dragged off in handcuffs - they see it as badge of honor. Joe-Six-Pac-SoccorMom wouldn't. We have families to contend with.
Rebellion by militia? Not even a consideration. The first rebels would be made an "example" by the local SWAT or National Guard units.

So you say, what then?. Well, I may have a possible answer: Here it is...

Support existing organizations and/or create a new organization with massive cash infusions to build bullet-proof LAWSUITS against the onslaught of unConstitutional legislation. Take every single oppressive unConstitutional law and regulation and executive order to COURT! Base every effort on not only the literal translation of the US Constitution, but the very INTENT of those who wrote the document! There is a plethora of correspondence between the Founding Fathers to PROVE their intent in the final creation of our Constitution.

That is our last hope. Yes, some lawsuits may not make it past the local federal courts or the appellate courts; some will. But then the USSC may accept some and not accept to review others and kick them back down to the appellates for what ever technical reason. That is why the lawsuits would have to be once again, written in bullet-proof language that is highly researched and proves the INTENT of our Founding Fathers as mentioned above.

We recently had a somewhat of a good ruling from the USSC regarding the individual right to own weapons. It wasn't perfect and should have expanded in many areas, but it was a small win. We can do the same with other obvious unConstitutional legislation.

What say you folks? Any interest in researching those orgs who have been the most successful and supporting them with dollars? Or maybe we need an entirely new legal org that is not caught up in DC politics. Personally, I believe we need a new dedicated highly professional legal entity to forward such lawsuits.

This is possibly our last and best hope for our Republic. A Constitutional Law Union (CLU), for the lack of a better name could be our ONLY hope in fighting for the last of our Republic. It could be based in part on the various Constitutional organizations that currently exist.

It would take money; high-level organizers; dedicated lawyers; high-visibility pundits; dedicated and capable volunteers, and again, a huge amount of money. But, I believe this to be doable.

Think about it. Think about how the ACLU wins so many lawsuits against our heritage and traditions. If they can do it, why can't we??? We actually have a sacred document and other historical writings on our side. THIS CONCEPT IS VIABLE. Others have layed the ground work that we can take advantage of.

Interesting thread. A few thoughts come to mind.

I know there is a legal organization to defends parents’ rights to homeschool, and they seem to be pretty successful. Perhaps that could be utilized in a greater capacity.

One problem is there are so few conservative lawyers. I think there a couple here on FR.

Also, how many have been to CPAC before? Is it truly a way to brainstorm among conservatives? Is it effective? I hope to go this year, if for nothing else, to see if they feel there is any hope at all.

We are so divided as a nation. Everyone says “bipartisan”. Crap. How can you compromise on an issue like “LIFE”? You either believe a fetus is a person, or not. There are many issues like that. I truly think we are totally headed for two countries.

We just bought a (second) home in a southern state because I feel this state will be one to seceed eventually. Maybe if we designate “conservative friendly” states, conservatives would naturally migrate there and eventually make the division easier.

I am hanging signs up in my house, “IF YOU VOTED FOR OBAMA OR ANY OTHER SOCIALIST LIBERAL, YOU ARE NOT WELCOME IN THIS HOME.” I intend to stick to it, even with relatives.

Great response and you are dead-on. We seem to have fallen into the usual modus operandi with this stimulus bill.

1. Complain

2. Leading to more complaining

3. Coming up with supposed solutions like the Courts or the one you responded to...educating people.

4. Complain some more

5. Do nothing but hope that we'll show 'em in 2010.

6. Type in bold Sarah 2012!

7. Complain some more

8. Recognize how smart the liberals are and give them credit.

9. Complain some more, restating the obvious that the stimulus is a bad bill.

10. Suggest corrections to an already passed bill

11. Complain some more

12. Post breaking news about a new piece of legislation to take more and more liberty away.

13. Restart steps 1-12 again...and again...and again.

This gets weary. Perhaps we should all read, re-read and re-read again the Declaration of Independence. There's the real solution.

I love your nobility on this, but an armed revolution appears inevitable. The stench of Marxism that has infected the rest of the world for the last 60 years has finally reached our shores.

The sobering reality i’ve come to, Navy vet, is that we’re all subject to history. The Egyptians, the Greeks, the Romans, the Spanish, the English all fell eventually. Decadence and deviance are a part of human nature, and this can only be overcome by force when it overwhelms good. As an American, I realize even we aren’t exempt from this.

I think your time would be better served preparing yourself and other like minded folks on how to begin a revolution for the good.

I ask again: were you Army Paratrooper/Ranger/Special Forces, Marine/Marine Re-Con, Navy SEAL, or maybe clandestine CIA SpecOps? I even have access to NSA clandestine forces.. You gave me shit and I told you I was a simple sailor which is easily proved, now I want YOUR bona fides. Did you even serve your country?

And don’t bother to lie about your unit - I know exactly where to fine all service personnel in Army, Marine, Air Force, and Navy. Not to good on Coast Guard.

Remember, anyone can find an ISP. Be honest or I will report you to the numerous organizations that OUT all the wannabes. They love to out youse guys and some wind up doing community service.

That's because they own every attorney from coast to coast as well.

Look at this Porkulus bill, it feeds the NEA (publik edjumkashun), the Unions, deadbeats not wanting to work, (unemployment for those who quit their job) and every other Liberal organization wanting to expand their power.

The roads and bridges thing was meant to feed the most powerful Senators and Representatives. A Pork Fest for their pet districts that keep getting them elected.

This is Politics as usual, only this time. the Free Enterprise system has been weakened to the point where it will no longer be able to keep feeding the bigger beast.

The Bigger Beast (Our Socialist Government) has devoured the vital organs of it's host, in other words. (Free Enterprise) So the Beast has decided that it can become what Free Enterprise used to be and replace it in a much more effective system.

This is where we have them. Simply let them devour everything in their sight. They will soon run out of food and starve themselves. This is how the life cycle of Socialism ALWAYS ends up.

When the elite Government runs out of people to carry the load or manage the everyday staples, they are incapable of leaving the safety of their protected offices. They are grossly out of touch with the population, which is why Russia had mile-long lines, waiting for their ration of toilet paper.

The people themselves did the necessary thing and took their land back, regardless of how powerful the Government was or how much the people were indoctinated or threatened.

A failed system like this is a guaranteed failure no matter who is in charge this time. They always end up the same way.

So, people that is why I say, KEEP YOUR POWDER DRY, and stay safe and warm. There will be another day when we take the fight back to them. But, it will take time.

Just what I said earlier. This thing WILL take care of itself, thanks the the LOOTER class of leeches sucking the system dry. And if they bring in 30 or even 50 million Mexicans, it will guarantee the outcome all that much faster.

Then after the host dies, the Mexicans will head back south to where they came. That is when we permanently slam the door behind them.

You can file all the “bullet-proof” lawsuits you want, but the liberal judiciary, including the USSC, will either refuse to hear them or rule against them. If you file enough of these suits, they will just become nuisance lawsuits - ignored by all.

Your “solution” is to submit the survival of freedom in this country to the institution (the courts) that has failed miserably to protect our freedoms, so perverted the word ‘justice” as to make it laughable, & led the way in ignoring the constitution. And as a branch of gov’t, it is surely the most liberal (fascist), & is answerable to nobody.

When the revolution comes, who will stand up and say, “ Hang’em all, but not the judges & lawyers.”? I'm guessing they will be the first to “dangle”.

I firmly believe this is our only option, given that the ruling class (overwhelmingly lawyers) has total control over all levels & branches of gov’t.

We should fill Washington & our cities & towns with angry protesters who DO NOT LEAVE, just as blacks did in the 60s & 70s. The ruling class listened then (rightly so), & they will listen again, but only under the threat of violence. Would the USSC refuse to here a case if 1 million protesters are standing in front of the Court? Would nationwide protests influence how the "Aristocracy" governs?

Ironically, the people may soon have plenty of time to protest as many are soon to be without jobs.

Can you imagine the turmoil in the minds of those who rebelled against their King & Country back in 1776? Most of those people were honest, loyal, CONSERVATIVE citizens, who would never knowingly break the law. Many were veterans who fought side-by-side with British soldiers. Many more had British friends & relatives.

But the arrogance of King George FORCED Americans to take action.

King George was a saint compared to Queen Nancy, King Obama, & the court fools: Schumer, Franks, Kerry, Specter, ad nauseum.

This is one that we must win before it's imposed. They have already begun an organized, systematic rollout proposing the fairness doctrine. At least one DemonRAT pol a day is manageing to include it in their daily propaganda media “face time”. We need to get someone to shout down Chuck Schumer every time he gets in front of a microphone. When they try to haul them off, others to hold up signs proclaiming “This is real fairness doctrine Chuck”.

Glad you liked it. You should look through some of my various posts over the last few weeks. Sometimes I seem like I'm the only voice out there assuring people that everything is going to be ok. WE are going to be the winners when this all shakes out.

Stalin was very wrong when he asserted that "When we hang the capitalists they will sell us the rope we use". Rather, it is the leftists who are proving on a daily basis that they are seemingly, cluelessly inching the country forward to complete collapse.

Yesterday, the Treasuries market hiccuped at the thought of the Fed selling $800b of notes to cover porkulus. This is just the start - with falling tax receipts & skyrocketing service needs, the welfare state is going to get staggered from a 1-2 punch.

It will then be completely knocked out & brain damaged when interest rates spike after we come back for another $2+ trillion to cover the operating deficits. Just a few points higher, and the interest on our total debt load explodes the entire budget.

Just kick back and watch the show unfold.

It's too early in the morning for me. When I read that line I immediately thought of the scene from "Alien" in which the alien emerged from his host. Somehow though, that just makes your point even better.

The Liberals, who now prefer to be called “Progressives”, (Chuckle) consider the “failed policies of the past” as Capitalism. (As they fail to understand it.)

Now that they have full rule, they have no clue how to turn it around. This is like taking on a battle ship using a row boat. It’s like a second grader trying to define the Theory of Relativity. They have no chance of fixing it.

It's almost cosmic poetic justice that the whole party is going to come crashing down when they finally seized ultimate control with a sub-optimal, affirmative action president.

I heard a report from someone who was at his presser on Monday who was surprised at how dull (unintelligent) Hussein appeared off the 'prompter. The guy simply has no clue as to the complexities of the situation.

All the more better for us. If I didn't know better, I would have thought is was conservatives urging Hussein to "take the potion, my sweetie".

Not necessarily... During the first American Revolution some pretty decent guys, mainly farmers and businessmen defeated one of the most professional armies of the day.

and after the smoke cleared, they made some pretty good rules and laws contained in some pretty good documents, that took us on a pretty good ride... until people forgot about it and the indoctrination took full hold.
