Once I got done aggravating pinheaded rentacops I did take a few pictures! BTW, you can't take a camera into a Social Security office either. It's on the list with Swiss Army knives and cellphones.
I don’t know what to replace it with, I’m not impressed with the current frontrunners. The FZ30 is right at the limit on noise, most of the new models seem to be noisier, or use too much in camera softening and lose detail. The stupid MP race is at the expense of image quality.
Only thing I ever did in Maryland was chase girls and eat oysters, but that WAS a long time ago! I had relatives in Baltimore.
Do you shoot in RAW format or strictly JPEG?
I do too, as tsiya, The DPR forums tend to be ruled by cliques, I often get aggravated and just stay away. The folks on the Oly Talk Forum helped me a lot, way back, most of the old timers are gone now.

The feather detail, especially in the first picture, is amazing. Are you ever surprised, when you see a picture. at what a great shot you got?
