Some Christian traditions have it that at the Last Supper, Judas, the disciple who betrayed Jesus, was the 13th to sit at the table, and that for this reason 13 is considered to carry a curse of sorts.
However, the number 13 is not uniformly bad in the Judeo-Christian tradition. For example, the 13 attributes of God (also called the thirteen attributes of mercy) are enumerated in the Torah (Exodus 34: 6-7).[1] Some modern Christian churches also use 13 attributes of God in sermons.

Apollo 13
Perhaps the most famous example was NASA's Apollo 13 mission. The craft lifted off from Cape Kennedy, Florida at 13:13 in Houston, Texas on April 11, 1970. The mission was interrupted by a fuel cell explosion on April 13 but the crew was brought back alive.

Kurt Warner, the devout Christian quarterback of the Arizona Cardinals, stated that he chose the number "13" for his jersey because he (as a Christian) wasn't afraid of popular superstition, and wanted to show it.
Refreshing.

Since this is not a leap year Feb and March are mirror images for the first 28 days. So it is a rare occassion when friday the 13th occurs in back to back month's.

The Friday the 13th story goes back to the destruction of the Knights Templar on Friday, October 13th, 1307 by the Catholic Church.
Today's superstitions about Friday the 13th are simply a mish-mash of old folk tales and urban ledgends that have been passed down through history, some of them inspired by the destruction of the Templars in 1307.

Another famous one is the Passover, where the firstborn of Egypt died. The Passover took place on Saturday, the 14th of Nissan, by the Jewish calender. Which, of course, was Friday the 13th for the Egyptians.

Three Friday the 13ths this year (November too).
The US flag has had 13 stripes during all of its wars (except for the War of 1812). For a country that began as 13 colonies it has done pretty well.
Thomas Jefferson was born on April 13 (N.S.), but it was a Saturday the year he was born.

The building I live in has no thirteenth floor.
I live on the twelfth level, the floor above me is the fourteenth.
I’ve heard of tall buildings constructed where the thirteenth floor was left unfinished and the elevator would not stop there.
IMHO, The number thirteen is far less fraught with evil than the number six hundred threescore six.
