UNICEF spokesperson Salma Hayek nursing a baby in Sierra Leone.
Hayek was in the West African country in September as part of her involvement in the fight against tetanus, one reason Sierra Leone has the highest infant and child death rate in the world.
But I'm guessing her humanitarian efforts won't draw as much attention as the "Nightline " television footage that showed Hayek breast feeding.
Bloggers, as expected, are going crazy.
“There is a close enough view that I could count swallows!” exclaimed Tanya on Motherwear’s Breast Feeding Blog, who was “blown away” that the scene was shown on network television.
Others were a tad cynical.
"Now here’s a good way to call attention to your giant bosom while simultaneously saving impoverished children,” wrote Buzzfeed.com senior editor Peggy Wang. “Angelina who?”
Whatever her motive, Hayek used her breasts as nature intended: She fed a hungry baby. For that she should be commended. If she also raises awareness that breast feeding helps build immunity, more power to her.
“In fact doctors there say that because malnutrition is so rampant they would like to see women in Sierra Leone breast-feed for two years,” wrote Kimberly Caplan on ABCnews.com.
“But such behavior is rare. The reason? Men urge their wives to quickly stop breast-feeding because of cultural mores that forbid sexual intercourse with breast-feeding women."

Angelina is so yesterday. Why adopt when you can just swoop in a toss out a breast or two, then jet back to America relatively uninhibited by the orphans while still getting sexy PR from the “nursing shoot.” Angie how could you have not thought of THIS? /sarc. If she had I wonder what Brad would be doing? Massaging her shoulders? Taking the photos or manning the camera? Hollywood. So creative . . . so DISGUSTING!

Strange. It’s good that she’s using her celebrity to bring the to light the benefits of breast feeding though.

I would think of those as being more of a stilulus package, than what is coming from Washington DC.
