White Ibis taking a break. Before I left they were down on the ground digging for bugs and crawdads.

Got to have a camera big enough to choke a gator or I’m afraid to go out!

Very beautiful pictures. Not many take the time to witness God’s beauty right before their eyes.
It looks warm where you are. It’s cold here. I’d rather be where you are;-)

Heh, nice photo. I(had been)feeding the same squirrel for years. Couple of weeks ago I saw the biggest chicken hawk in the world...haven’t seen my squirrel since. Growing up all we had for years were brown squirrels...they are becoming rare next to the gray or black...there goes the neighborhood.

We finally got a little warmer weather and the snow hardened up and brought all the critters to steal from the bird feeders. The real nuicances are the little red squirrels.

I got a few pics of doves the other day. The cardinals were around but I couldn't get a decent pic. I did get an OK pic of one of the jays in the morning though.

Love the owl and Fox.
What’s the blue one? Indigo Bunting maybe?

Yup, Indigo Bunting. The owl is a Barred Owl. We had a rare Northern Shrike here last week but I missed the shot.

I love pelicans. I’ve been watching them lately. They do put on quite a show. They make fishing look fun.

My new camera arrived on Tuesday and I’m chomping at the bit for spring. I get out into the state land and take a lot of pictures and it’s going to be really nice to finally be able to have a decent camera with me.

In the midst of winter. I might as well add some signs of what we can look forward to in just a few months.
In grandma's Garden

On the boardwalk in Atlantic City.

Riding out for the Easter Bunny.

Eggs for everybody.

Look ma, no hands.

Must be desperate times in Minnesota. First Jesse Ventura, then Al Franken, now y’all are having to eat pelicans. Sad, very sad.

Yes, they are very fast. We won’t discuss the 150 images I deleted, just the 5 good ones, OK?

I lived in Alvin for twenty years and hunted all around there. There are gators in lots of the bayous and some wolves, too. We trapped a wolf that the Houston Zoo people tested out at 80% red wolf DNA, crossed up. They put it in the captive breeding program.
