I’ll always remember him for the “Miracle-Gro” commercials.

I'll always remember him as the crusty old sergeant in "Battleground."

RIP

R.I.P.
Enjoyed Mr. Whitmore's one man stage show as Teddy Roosevelt, "Bully", some 30 years ago.

Great actor, I’m happy he didn’t have to live through this moment in our history.

This was disappointing, though:

Although not always politically active, in 2007, Whitmore generated some publicity with his endorsement of Barack Obama for President of the United States.

I’ll always remember him cause he was on several Twilight Zones. Remember the Miracle-Gro commercials, too.

I’ve often heard him referred to as the poor man’s Spencer Tracy. RIP.

ROFLMAO!

I’m NOT sending out a Garden Ping on that...but it was tempting, LOL!

He lived a good, long, Hollywood, scandal-free life. Not many in that business can say the same. RIP

I think his best performance was on the television series “The Twilight Zone,” the episode “On Thursday We Leave For Home.” He played leader of a group of colonists on an asteroid who have left earth because they were disenchanted with earth’s problems. A very good study of political power.

Good actor. I remember the scene where a GI in a passing truck yells at Whitmore, “Hey, handsome, here!”, and throws him a cigar.
