May I make a suggestion, ladies? Just sprinkle catnip everywhere. The cats will think they are in heaven, and fall off into a nice long nap. (Or, they’ll start wanting Pizza.)

Happy day, Amy.
It has been a long wet winter that started unsually early and shows no sign of quitting with a two day snow storm coming in tomorrow.
Happy lurking!

Although she feeds me bread of bitterness, And sinks into my throat her tiger's tooth, Stealing my breath of life, I will confess I love this cultured hell that tests my youth! Her vigor flows like tides into my blood, Giving me strength erect against her hate. Her bigness sweeps my being like a flood. Yet as a rebel fronts a king in state, I stand within her walls with not a shred Of terror, malice, not a word of jeer. Darkly I gaze into the days ahead, And see her might and granite wonders there, Beneath the touch of Time's unerring hand, Like priceless treasures sinking in the sand.

Even when I don’t feel that I have time to reply to every post, I enjoy lurking on the thread. I always get a few good laughs.

LOL..I had to turn the heat back on today. Spring comes and goes..
After leaving my hibiscus in the garage for winter, I trimmed it back and placed it on the patio..I have to bring it in tonight as it will go below freezing. It has hardly any leaves but I see a flower bud.
I manage to have a mess to clean up dragging that plant in and out. The kitties consider it a new “toy”.

Thanks to cable, I’ve always got FR up on one of my computers and work on another. Best part of getting off dialup all those years ago was not being blown off line.
FR is where I start for news every day.

I
never leave home without my boa - rain or shine!
On a more serious note, I have heard that real boas can make very friendly pets. I just don't know if I could adjust to a pet without fur.
I loved your story, Star. Did that really happen? Inquiring minds want to know. ((((hugs))))
