This week has been such a treat

Roller Derby?? Ya mean they still have them Mayor??
Goodness!! I can remember mom and dad watching Roller Derby in 50’s on a little round screen black and white tv!!I can hear mom yelling “ go Pocahontas!”LOLOL...she was a meanie!

A Smile At A Dance

When you are dancing, it’s almost a rule,
A smile on your face should be taught in the school.
You’ll find that pretending you’re having great fun,
Comes true in the moments before you are done.

You may not have known the one now in your arms,
But somehow you now know of some of the charms!
A synthetic friendship that takes on a life,
And a smile at a dance could make someone a wife!

They told us of dangers of music and dance,
But I felt in control and I took on the chance.
Seems my luck got quite dizzy and it went on the skids,
You can tell what came next by my wife and my kids!

This has been such a lovely week. I have never seen such beautiful graphics, pictures and words to make this a LOVING VALENTINE WEEK! I've enjoyed it all so much and wanted to thank everyone who participated. As someone else said, "I hate for it to end"....! Amy, you did a tremendous job of keeping the sweet greetings coming....Billie and Lori, your special Welcome Openings were all just the best. It all was super special! And for every FRiend who posted darling Valentines, thank you all, too.

Cupid

Late nestled on yon Venus' tender breast,
Young Cupid lay in torpid slumber bound.
Then, waking from that languid seat of rest,
He sighed, out-peering from his blind around.
Straight arrow fast against taut bowstring pressed.

And gallant swain did he at length espy:
Gave flight apace to arrow quick and true,
That mounted through the clam'rous air on high,
That callow, rustic heart smote nigh full through.
And there engendered ardor yet to vie

The heart of Rosaleen to win in love;
Who hath his suit ere now full high disdained.
Yet Venus, gazing down from throne above,
Upon the youth sweet speech of Love ordained,
Whence won the swain the hand of that sweet dove.
