Yesterday, just eight days after the inauguration, President Obama had his £576bn so-called stimulus bill passed by the House of Representatives - but without a single vote from any Republican.
All 177 House Republicans opposed the bill. None of them fell for that 'bi-partisan' tripe, which is Democrat code for 'do it our way.'
Which gives me hope for the Republican Congressmen. Forget about 'change.' They know an old-style, Democrat pork-barrel piece of legislation - that is, a Bill designed to pay off or buy votes from vested interests - when they see one, and they aren't going to back it.

Have you noticed that the Brits, Aussies and Pravda have many more in-depth stories and opinion pieces on President Obama and his administration than all of our Fourth Estate combined?
Buyers Remorse started with me 1 YEAR AGO... ‘bout time someone else noticed .. even if it had to be the EU Press... LOL
all points noted.. and the National Enquirer is more Credible than the NY SLIMES..
Slimes says something.. I need 3 corroborating sources... if it’s the Enquirer, I only need 2.
Once again, it takes foreign press to tell like it is.
Where? I haven’t seen it.
If the sobs that inflicted that sob on me had enough sense to get out of the rain, he would not be in office.
Thank God for a Free Press.
at least someplace...
Check out the poll results in that article.
Do you still feel good about Barack Obama?
Results
50% Yes
50% No
Think about that. These are mostly Europeans voting. Remember how they were in love with him. Now, after less than 2 weeks in office, 50% do NOT feel good about him.
I would love to see this poll in all US papers.
Even as liberals, the quality of British journalism is a 100 fold better than American (liberal) journalism.
Worth saying twice, eh? :)
O’s Banana Republic-type arrogance, not to mention incompetence, will be his downfall.
No matter how much lipstick they put on this pig...
No matter how much Hopey-Changieness he exudes...
He is still just a two year “junior” senator from IL. with few if any independent personal or political accomplishments.
Two years ago he would have been bringing coffee to Clinton, Pelosie and Kerry, and they know it very well.
Soros, Hollywood, and the MSM installed him and now America, Pubs, and the world are scratching their heads asking, OK you won, Now what?
Especially since he has developed Milli Vannili complex and suddenly imagines “I don’t need any dubbers. I really can sing you know.”
What a weird time we are living through.
bump
I believe the British are better reporters because they are traditional reporters as far as I know. British lurkers, feel free to correct me. Unlike our press, which is mainly people who went have degrees in journalism, traditional reporters actually go out and report. Kind of like in old movies from the thirties. They probably still say stuff like “broads” and “that’s the ticket” over there too.
Maybe his half white side is pulling him down to earth. It may be hard to soar with only one black wing. ;0)
