This BSG, was ok.. Look likes Zarek has RDS, there is a reason why I hated Gaeta from the beginning.. I view this more as a setup episode for the bigger picture.

What is your preferred method of travel in the SciFi world....
Mine would be the following:
1. Stargate --> Either through the gate or able to go on a ship from on galaxy to another..

2. Andromeda --> Yes the show sucked, but I did like the concept of Slipstream..

3. Star Trek --> Warp Speed.. Sounds cool..

4. Babylon 5 --> Hyperspace... Going though the jump gates was cool...

5. Battlestar Galactica (The New One) --> Able to jump anywhere...

1-4 were my favorites. I was in front of the boob toob when they were on tv. My 5th would have been Farscape.

Able to jump anywhere is the best lifesaver.

Hey, now that's a cool topic.
Actually, I'd go with Stargate for the exploration and the unknown and all that. Plus, it leaves the door open for local spaceship/starship travel.

I only vaguely remember slipstream, but I don't remember how it varies from traveling through hyperspace/warp space.

As for BSG, I am realizing how much this show really bites and how I'm only watching it because I feel obligated to because other SF geeks I speak with watch it. Too dreary and bleak and increasingly silly. "The Plan", whatever it was, is long gone. Babylon 5, this aint.

Odd. I thought that they were going to imply that Ellen was an older version of Six.

And now that we know that Starbuck is dead and her ship crashed, we don't know what she or her ship actually are.

I'm confused as far as this entire tribe/planet of Cylons and yet they couldn't reproduce? There were a lot more than 12 of them in that flashback.

I don’t think any show is going to over take Babylon 5. To me BSG is still tops, but B5 is still the top dog..

PLot twist??

I think on “earth” that the humans were the “bad” guys and they nuked the planet and a certain number of them can be reborn. The exact opposite on Caprica

Remember all the grave yards on earth were filled with cylons. Starbuck may be one of the pure human clones

No, nothing is going to overtake B5, but it did establish the standard for a 5-year story arc. Lost might've been able to pull that off if they had known in advance how many years that they had. BSG was set-up as if they had their story in mind, and all they had to do was get there, but it's obvious that they are making it up as they go along.

Case in point, retconning the Chief's kid. Oops.

I still think that Gaius Baltar will turn out to be the last Cylon.

I thought I saw human bones in the same graves as the Cylons.

Remember all the grave yards on earth were filled with cylons.

Exactly. My take is that the Fleet found Earth in the 23rd century (or later) and that WE were Cylons.

BTW, there's a fantastic site that shows the exact landing site of the Colonials on Earth. Right down to the street address of today. It fits perfectly with the storyline.

I prefer the jump technology that BSG has. Its quick.

Nothing will come close to B5.

My major gripe about the current BSG:

1) When will commander Adama STOP crying? It seems that every few episodes he starts to cry and I am sick and tired of it. Get some cojones already and stop with the crying. His son is tougher than Olmo's character. Is he trying to get an emmy? The first episode this season had him crying again!

I also would like to see Starbuck smile once in a while. She's just bitter most of the time and the few times I have seen her smile has been for a couple of seconds. I was not surprised who the 5th cylon was. I suspected it when she first showed up. Her husband was shocked that she kind of showed up "out of nowhere" and I remember thinking that she may be a cylon but then they killed her off. Perhaps the Earth's last humans took to the stars themselves and maybe the BSG crew will find another planet with true humans on it. I can't stand Baltar and wish they would have killed him episodes ago. His drivel and talking is similar to Obama in some ways. All in all I still like the show. I just hate it when everyone mopes around and talks political and fight among each other. I want to see some more space fights and bring on some real cylons. No more skinjobs. Get me those centurions on the screen. Perhaps bring in a cameo or two of those beautiful Golden ones from another time.

I think there's going to be a climatic battle in the last episode. Then through the ruined speakers in CIC as people start pulling themselves off the deck and realizing they won a simple message will be heard...”We are the Borg. Resistance is futile.” :oP
