Is anybody in the MSM complaining about how much Michelle spent on those gowns?
Didn’t think so.
‘chele obozo is basically an ugly woman. She’s pidgeon-toed and her hips are huge with enough space inbetween that a freight train could run through her legs and not touch either side (all right I’m exaggerating but you get the point). With mainstream media continuing its love fest with the obozos, read the BARF http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28768077/, the article points out “The dress followed her curves paying special attention to the hips ” because the woman has huge hips.
We should be having a discussion about Mrs. Obama's beliefs and actions, not her choice of clothes.
Isn't there a fashion board you can post this stuff on? It's just not a good fit for FR.
Okay, the ball gown looks like a sari made out of a chenille bedspread. Scarlett O’hara did a better job with the velvet curtains. So what? Michelle Obama’s fashion sense is a non-issue in terms of what we’re facing. Why attack her taste or her attractiveness? Why should conservatives indulge in personal attacks?
People noticed. They all had to apologize for noticing. Black widow spiders are racist you know.
I once read that Abraham Lincoln’s wife, Mary Todd, was the ugliest first lady in our nation’s history. So, as BHO continues down the Lincolnesque path, he can claim yet another point of similarity...
The poor woman is built like a 9 foot tall Liza Minnelli with bow legs. That is a seriously bad figure. But I've learned on What Not to Wear that even a bad figure can be dressed well. Michelle needs a fashion intervention!
Looked like $20.00 worth of Charmin with knots to look like flowers(?) tied up nicely with a strap.
Seriously, her designer is playing a cruel joke on her.
And what's wrong with a nice black suit for the Cathedral bash?
Church dress:
Well, she has a couple of problems. Someone must have told her once that a dress cut that way is flattering to her. It’s not. If you are a bit of a pear, high-waisted with pleats or gathers is just going to accentuate it and make you into a bell. Her other problem is she doesn’t know how to carry herself. So the dress problem is compounded by the slouchy walking. I suggest she gets a better stylist to help her pick styles that flatter her, and the cut is more important than whether she likes big prints. The fabric was OK, the cut made it worse. For the carrying herself, if she objects to a charm-school type teacher then she should take ballet classes to gain some poise.
The inaugural ball dress:
Again the dress isn’t too bad. This cut is more flattering to her. It would have looked better I think with 2 thinner straps than the one. She needed a wispy lace evening shawl to drap over her arms so she’d have something to do and not have her arms just hanging there. It looks like she is either not used to being in evening attire or never learned to stand still even if your feet hurt. She is constantly shifting her weight, pulling at the dress, doesn’t know what to do with her arms/hands, etc.
She really needs a coach to help her with this stuff because she has a multitude of events to attend where she will be pretty much just standing or sitting there while someone else speaks, not to mention the appearances she will be making on her own.
She’s tall, she’s just plain built big, she’s bowlegged, she has some figure problems (how many of us don’t?) let’s face it, and she hasn’t learned how to dress to cover them yet. Little hint for us ladies with less than perfect legs is to wear the dress below the knees, mid-calf is nice and for really tall ones it can be very elegant and attractive to wear something flowy down just above the ankles. Cut the neck low to make up for covering your legs. Her arms are pretty nicely shaped, she should make the most of that.
People, especially “big” people, often have trouble seeing their own figure problems and dress as though they don’t exist. If they tend to have outlandish taste, this can be a disaster.
I think the winter white coronation, er inaguration, gown is very pretty except what’s with that big fat single strap? It puts one in mind of a cyclops. Well, at least it’s on her left side.
Take it from a big girl, Michelle, you can successfully hide your figure flaws if you really put your mind to it.
I wouldn’t care if she wore a cardboard box, or something from the pages of a 1950’s National Geographic magazine. There just isn’t anything that’s going to make that Thing look good.
When I see her on TV, I know that she can’t breath on me and I know that she can’t touch me, but she still gives the creeps.
A beautiful lady is always a pleasure to look at, but true beauty comes from within, she has neither...... and she can’t create the illusion.
Excellent commentary. You really should join the Michelle Fashion Police Alert ping list. The inaugural thread is at this link:

bump for later
Her clothing choices do not flatter her.
I can’t look at her clothes for noticing how she slump-shouldered she is.
