I think Michelle let her law license lapse because she got a high paying administrative job at a public sector hospital... I heard she got a $300,000 salary after her husband became Senator and the hospital got some big grant from the govt.

I was the first to comment when Laura was NOT served well by various designers ...she was always gorgeous but her outfits on occasion “lacking”...BUT even on her worst days still looked appropriate & classy - just the outfits sub par IMHO
A nice dress will never go amiss, but that one doesn't cut the mustard.

Interesting that your mother knew Jackie O. We were talking about her the other night, the only time we ever heard her speak was when she led a tour of the WH. She spoke very slowly and deliberately and sounded like the dumbest person we ever heard. Did she always speak that way or was it because she was on TV and reading a prepared text?
Learned behavior from her teen years, I suspect. She was probably close to her final height when she was in Junior High, and guys didn't usually go for girls who were taller than they. Girls tend to slump in those instances, and it takes some work to get over that habit.
The single strap only highlighted the problem. A strapless gown would have been even worse.
Thanks for the ping! You know Nordie and I LOVED being the Unofficial White House Fashion co-consultants. ;o) Looks like we’d have our work cut out for us if we wanted to continue. I just don’t want to have to look at or hear ‘That One’. His missus isn’t too hard on the eyes, as long as she keeps her nasty opinions to herself, which she’s not likely to do.
