Lord almighty..did I hear Rev. Joseph E. Lowery correctly??? Did he end his propaganda...ahem...I mean speech...uh...I mean Benediction by saying "When white stands up for all that is right" ??? Did I hear that? I wish he would have just gotten to the point and called me a "Honky" or "The Man"....heck even "White Devil"...I mean jeez if we are trying to unite a country what better way than making a limerick out of our colors and differences. Oh wait a second I think I get it now......it's like the colors of the rainbow...all colors together...oh wait isn't that the gay flag thingy..wow this politics thing is tricky!

At least his words dropped Ted"Whitey" Kennedy...so all is not lost.

I believe his words were “when white embraces what is right.”

“Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around, when yellow will be mellow, when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right. That all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen. Say Amen” - Rev. Lowry During the 44th Inaugural of A US President

RE: "a limerick out of our colors and differences"

.. but the Rat Party (formerly the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party) says we must come together. Go figure.

Some say that it's an old limerick bemoaning racism in America.. whatever, IMO it was totally out of place.

I am tired of hearing "it's (typical) white people's fault." Fifty-plus years and still counting.

As long as "civil rights" enterprises are moneymakers, we're stuck with it.

...more telling was Obambi shaking his head in agreement, with a grin, caught on cam, at the very moment. AT WHICH..we will all be told never happen.

I am deeply offended. This is outrageous. As a European-American, I dream of a world where I will be judged on the content of my character and not on the basis of my skin color.

As a southpaw, I might also be offended if he is admonishing me to be, at best, ambidextrious, if not fully changing my orientation!

would any of you expect anything different coming from the Obama people. If not....you ain't seen nothing yet.

Not surprising to me, look who Obama has been associating with for the past 20 years. REV WRIGHT. Same song, 2nd verse.

So Lowery’s a racist.

So Obama supports racist preachers.

So what else is new?

I find the comments offensive and also troubling that we now have a President who seems to be supportive os racism. Race relations have now been set back 40 or more years....

There was also a marked difference in 0bama's demeanor during Warren's prayer (*especially when O's father was mentioned) and Lowery's prayer (the great AMEN.) Lowery opened his benediction with the first words of the Negro National Anthem, Lift Every Voice and Sing: God of our weary years, God of our silent tears...

Is anyone surprised to see racism at BO’s inaugural? I’d be surprise if it hand’t been there, given what we know about the First America Haters.

I have never been as personally angry as I am now at a President. It was bad enough that Joe Biden accused me (not personally, but my demographic) of being selfish and unpatriotic....but now I’m racist? I try to live morally and generously...but I’m judged because of the race of my parents!? Below is the body of a letter I’ve written and plan on sending to the White House tomorrow. Not visceral, but I hope they understand they stepped in it with this act.—

Dear Mr. President:

To say the least, I’m highly offended by the words used in your closing benediction, “when white will embrace what is right.” How racist! I’m sure this was reviewed prior to the ceremony and it shows to me a divisive and hateful spirit.

Well, this letter is from someone who cannot change the color of her skin, and desires to be judged by the content of her character. I have never written to the President before, and I hope to never feel compelled to do so again.

I have every respect for the office of the Presidency and I expect my position as a responsible citizen of the United States would be honored and respected as well.

He’s right, white did not stand up for what is right. They let this man who has no experience get to the highest elected office simply because he is, sort of, a black man. White most certainly did not stand up for what is right, at least some white people did not.

Where does Obama find these preachers?? I wonder if the speeches aka prayers/poems have to be ok'd by the Obama people before their deliverance. Even the swearing in was awkward (repeat that again..silence ah..).

Note: the Dunkin Donut people ( I was in the drive-thru ) had to wear Obama shirts today..and the Rev's color remarks had the two ladies hanging out the window saying.."I am not surprised" in disgust.... as it was on the radio at that time.
