The Real Flub in Obama's Inaugural?

Nothing huge here, but while everyone is concentrating on the flub between Roberts and Obama involving the "faithful" phrase, did anyone notice that Obama said "44 Americans" had taken the oath before him?
I'm pretty sure that's wrong: it's only 42 before him, and he is #43. Yes, we've had 44 presidents now, but Grover Cleveland served non-consecutive terms, interrupted by B. Harrison. So he only counts as one "American." If he had said, "44 times now the oath has been administered to a president," it would be right.
Again, nothing earth shattering, but I don't know that anyone caught that.

I think an observer in all of the 57 states caught that historical miscue. :P

You trying to get a running start to the top of Olbermann’s “Worst Of” list for 2009? :)

I didn't even bother watching TKU take the Oath of Office or any of that fraudulent claptrap today.

Good catch, and, along with his tour of the 57 states, shows something of our new President’s willingness to make an effort to get things right.
But it was nowhere near the most significant mistake made this day.

Clinton took the Oath....but I don’t think he meant it. Does that still count?

It’s shocking. How can a President misremember something this important?

His first Constitutional crisis as he was assuming the cloak of office.
CJ Roberts was just testing the boy, doncha know. The head of the nascent obama regime just got thrown for a loop, to see how quickly he would react, and what the reaction would be. Of course, this gives the mobocracy mainstream media a perfect rationalization for the impeachment and removal of CJ Roberts. Rahm Emanuel would not, could not, let a crisis like this go to waste.

He also stated his father was born in africa which means he was not ‘natural born’ if I understand the argument in Leo’s case.

I'm sure Obama was right, because I recall that John Goodman took the oath when Martin Sheen exercised the 25th Amendment after his daughter was kidnapped by terrorists...
No, wait a minute...

Maybe Obama feared Chief Justice Roberts would ask him about his citizenship? That could explain his Oath flubs.
What explains Sen. Feinstein's "oaff" of office? I heard a radio rebroadcast and it sounded like she said "oaff."

“Taft counted as two”.
At about 300+ pounds, he was surely in the heavyweight division.
But didn’t we get two-for-one with Bill and Hillary Clinton?
I would put Jimmy Carter down as a zero, so maybe it all evens out.

Well his speechwriter is 27 and writes the speeches in Starbucks—need I say more?? These folks don’t know much about history....
