Kenyan tune equates Obama to a god Posted: November 14, 2008
Has Barack Obama raised expectations higher than any mortal could possibly achieve? You bet he has. But maybe it doesn't matter. In Kenya, home of the president-elect's father, he is clearly viewed as more than just mortal.
Check out this video of Kenyan singer Makadem performing his tune "Obama Be They Name." T
hese lyrics give you the flavour of the song: "All the voters in America/ Barack Obama be thy name / Thy change shall come / Thy will be done / As it is America..." Here's the rest.

Yup ALL the voters in America.
They ought to be careful. That sails pretty close to Blasphemy. God is not mocked — not even by Kenyans.
they are putting too much trust in a mortal man.
It’s starting to feel like Haile Selassie around here. Ya Mon.
The lyrics should read:
“All the voters in America, Barack Obama be thy name, The change shall come, THEY WILL BE DONE”
Sounds like the guy at the beginning of the video says, “Who’s from, Kenya?”
And then goes on to sing a song about Obama haha!
I keep expected to read “or Bingo was his name O”
The video depicts people from all over the world voting for Obama, how ironic.
I saw this ugly video long before 0bama won the dems nomination. IT stinks and is blasphemy, really. Imagine if a conservative came up with something like this? All hell would break lose.
‘He got da whole, world...in his hands....
He got da whole, world...in his hands....
He got da whole, world...in his hands....
He got da whole, world...in his hands.

“...the Kingdom of God is at hand”
They might be right about that, but not the way they think it is.
I thought God would be taller.
Hey, they even sacrificed a cow to him after the election.
It’s like watching 1932 all over again.
The new liberal bible will just replace god and jesus with Obama.
This is just freaky.
Please God, someone wake me up and tell me this is a bad made for TV movie.
Seriously! Is our President of the United States of America the son of Kenyan, of whom the people believe he is a god. Of whom Louis Farakhan has called “The Messiah”.
Oh dear, this would be funny if it weren’t hell.
