First of all...its not going to be that much warmer, on a cloudy—snowy January day in Pittsburgh at 1pm as opposed to 6pm. There is no real amount of winter sunshine here.
And Steeler fans are just different. Really...the weather is not an issue. No matter how bitter cold, windy, snowy, or icy the roads and bridges are leading to the North Shore, Heinz Field will be full. The Steeler Nation is not dissed by weather...
A guy I work with got the 2 and 9 square for the AFC title game and I told him considering these two opponents those aren’t bad numbers.
Did not know that! Another reason to root for the Nevermores.....
True.. I think it is either going to be Vikings or the Jaguars.. The Vikings wants a new Stadium and they had trouble selling out their tickets for the playoff game.
Light snow. No high winds. Around 20 at gametime.
From 1933 to 1940, Pittsburgh had an NFL franchise named the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1933, the Philadelphia Eagles began as an NFL franchise, named in honor of the emblem of Franklin Roosevelt's WPA project. In 1940, the Pirates moved to Philadelphia and became the Eagles, and the Eagles moved to Pittsburgh and became the Steelers.
The Steelers are the only NFL team to only have a logo on one side of their helmet with the other side blank. The United States Steel Corporation provided helmet stickers to the team, but the original shipment didn't include enough stickers to put logos on both sides of all the helmets. By the time the Steelers received the stickers for the other side of the helmets, they had decided they liked having the logo on only one side.
I know but he was the one who brought in night-time World Series games for the TV ratings in the ‘70’s. Peter Gammons has the theory that that decision put baseball on the skids and lost a generation of boys, who were no longer able to stay up to watch them, weather aside. I remember as a boy rushing home from school to watch the Series games, and then when my dad would come in from work, either at the end of the game or shortly after, we’d tell him all about it.
I’m going against my original thoughts earlier in the week.
The Iggles will score often and will make enough big plays to keep Arizona from matching them point for point. Iggles by 7
And as you said, how in the hell are the Ravens going to score today. And the injury list is long and at key positions. Ben will do enough, and Willie should have around 100 yards today. Not high scoring at 17-6, but a Stiller win none the less.
And Rush. I can’t remember him being at so many games in one season. LUCKY DOG!!
I don't doubt that. I guess you have trouble understanding what I wrote.

Agreed, the thing is now Willie is heathy. But again the larger issue is if Ben has to go to the air, who is going to give secondary help to Ed without the physical Samari on the other side?
I understood your post. And my response was meant to be that in other NFL markets daylight and a 6 or 8 degree difference in temp may rally the masses to complain, but not the Pittsburgh market. Its just a different vibe here...
I’m @ work, we have the Penquin game on the radio (Penz 2-0 lead in the second) and our most excellent hockey announcer, Mike Lange, mentioned that many of Guins are going to the Stiller game after their game. Consensus here...pretty cool :)
Well....ya gotta start somewhere. Next year when the Lions are 5-11, it’ll be touted as the Greatest Comeback in the NFL.
Hope your correct on that Eagles pick my man!
I have to admit Im freakin out a little bit right about now. For us Eagle fans, the NFC Championship game has been like entering the Twilight Zone.
Turn on NBC, and you could be watching it!
Capers as a dee coordinator fine; it’s his offensive strategery that is highly questionable. I’m just happy Spags is not in the NFC East.
