Yeah, that’s probably how it should be. Most of the performances were disappointing.

Well, there’s always the wild card. Figure they’ll get three (on average) from each group into there — are there really more than 6 per group that deserve more of a chance than they’ve gotten? There’s only going to be 5 or 6 people in total with a real chance to win anyway, and the judges will make sure they get through to the top 12.

looking at the results...it has the top probably 5 people really really close, except Danny. It was a blow out. No question he was FAR and away ahead of everyone else.

I’m hoping Anoop gets another shot. I really think he’s great and deserving of a little while longer at least to see what he can do. It’s tough competition up there at the top though.

The ONLY girls who were ANY GOOD AT ALL are, in order of
quality: Alexis, Tatiana and Jackie.
Of these, the only one I can see in the top 10 down the line is Alexis. The majority of the girls did a pretty good job
of bumping themselves off right quick.
The only guys who -—ditto-—were any good at all

Danny (good, but Simon shrewdly shot down
the overhype of the other 3)
Braddy (can’t remember his first name:
A Song for You was his tune)

Of these the only one I can see in the top 10 is Danny.
NO ONE on either gender side showed enough to really get
excited about, say, on the level of Bo Bice, or Carly Smithson, or David Cook, or even Clay Aiken. Most of these
were seasoned performers, and it showed. NO ONE projected real confidence, or range last night.
The next Idol may well have to come from the remaining 24.

And I love Tatiana. She makes me howl. I hope those three make it through.

My son asked me the other day what the worst song ever is I said Dancin on the Ceiling by Lionel Ritchie.
