And they’ve got a slew of juniors who are starting, so they’ll be back.

Tebow played a great game but there was one play where a Florida player (running back I think) made not one but TWO great blocks in a single play to spring Tevbow for a key first down.

I'd give THAT guy the game ball!

Oklahoma could not convert on two crucial 4th downs, one of them inside the Florida 5.

I pray the AP votes Utah #1. Just to piss off the BCS blowhards.

Florida, our Alma Mater,
thy glorious name we praise.
All thy loyal sons and daughters,
a joyous song shall raise.
Where palm and pine are blowing,
where southern seas are flowing,
Shine forth thy noble gothic walls,
thy lovely vine clad halls.
‘Neath the Orange and Blue victorious,
our love shall never fail.
There’s no other name so glorious,
All hail, Florida, hail!

In the name of Alma Mater,
We take each comrade’s hand,
True to thee and to each other,
Throughout our Eden land.
Old School we love so dearly,
May God be ever near thee,
To guide us by the Shining Light
Of Honor, Truth, and Might.
Hear our Alma Mater calling,
Let Courage never fail.
For before her all are falling,
All hail, Florida, hail!

And if you’re keeping score:

UF - 3 National Titles
FSU - 2 National Titles

Watch out Miami!!!

Congrats gators!
When my Sooners left without points from inside the 5 twice I knew we were in trouble. It was terrible clock managment just befoe half that cost us at least 3 points. I was worried about our defense, but they did ok even though they gave up 3rd & long several times in the 1st half. Sam played his usual excellent game, although you won’t hear it mentioned, but the offensive flow was just wierd for the Sooners.
It was a much better game than most expected, on either side, because it wasn’t a blow out.

Ps: Texas is #1 according to Mac Brown because they got a lucky break at the end of the game which allowed them to come from behind.

Florida deserves to be #1, enjoy!

To all my Gator fan friends, congratulations. Florida played a great game. Sometimes the ball bounces your way, sometimes it doesn’t.

But please...

God bless Tim Tebow. A great guy and a gifted player. But Tebow (as I am certain he would be the first to say) is NOT the Messiah.

Once again, defense wins championships.

Also, Big Game Bob Stoops is now 0-5 in his last 5 BCS bowl games.

Utah is number one based on unbeaten season and
beat Alabama with better scores than Florida.

how in the world was there not a penalty on OK on that horsecollar tackle in the first half and that dirty ankle grabbing shenanigans on Harvin in the second half?

there where some strange penalties on FL...that obsessive celebration penalty on a 3rd down conversion was really strange

Caught this interesting tidbit from the Gainesville Sun blog from a reporter attending the game:

“Guess you can say this crowd leans to the right. Much of the sellout booed when former President Bill Clinton, attending the game, was shown on the JumboTron screen.”

And the majority of fans in that crowd were Gator fans. Another reason to be proud of my Alma Mater.

No question which was the better team. Since I am not a fan of either team I enjoyed the contest disinterestedly.

Great game both teams, especially the defenses.

Now that was a good national championship game. Close game, but Florida played tough and won it. Tebow is a great leader.

Note to the Miami Hurricanes: Thank you for allowing us to win the championship on your field. We really appreciate it.

Congratulations to the University of Florida! I cannot root against such an outstanding young man as Tim Tebow.

But.....

Utah, USC, and Texas all have legitimate claims to the mythical national title.

Oklahoma cornerback Dominique Franks proclaimed that there were three QBs in his Big 12 conference that were better than Tim Tebow. Apparently the Sooners could have benefited from one of those three last night. ;-)

It's good to be a Gator fan.
