"The King" has been gone for more than 30 years, but that hasn't stopped fans from gathering to celebrate his birthday each year - often times by chowing down on one of the "Hound Dog" crooner's favorite foods: peanut butter".

I’ve never understood why a rock and roller that died of a drug overdose gets a ‘pass’ when others...say Jimi Hendrix, doesn’t.
The only connection I have with Elvis is I was in bootcamp the day he died, and they announced it on the PA system.
No offense to those of you that love ‘The King’ and are fixing friend peanutbutter&jelly sandwiches through your tears.....

I'd MUCH rather see THIS movie Presley/Nixon, than the fictionalized Frost/Nixon:

Personally, I wish he had eaten peanut butter more often...he couldn’t have sung then. The main thing that irks me is when people call him “The King”...the only King I recognize died on a cross, not in his own vomit in the bathroom of a drug overdose. The whole Elvis worship thing is nauseating. I turn off his songs every time they come on the radio. His movies really sucked too. Elvis has left the building people...get over it already.
