There are more pyramids in Mexico than all the rest of the world combined. And, one of the oldest pyramids in the world is at Caral,Peru.

Here's a pic (late 1990s, early 2000s) showing how the Chinese gov't has planted one of these large artificial mounds with pines in order to, well, basically to send some history down the memory hole.
