I never been a big bird fan.
However, my bird pics from the Everglades were freakin’ unbelievable. I always visit Shark Valley when I’m in town.

The Royal Palm/Anhinga Trail at the eastern entrance of the park is a great spot for photographing the birds and alligators right up close.

In the latter part of the 19th century and into the early twentieth, snowy egret plumes were very popular on hats. The result was that these birds were hunted until they were nearly extinct.
