NEWS FROM SNUGS!!!

Been a very hard couple of weeks. Dad came home week ago Monday and first couple of days were OK but he was very unsettled after that.

On Sunday he tried to be sick twice and nearly choked so in the end I decided after 2 visits by paramedics to agree for him to go the hospital for tests. Then followed 2 and half awful days. The hospital was completely full so we had to go into an emergency ward awaiting admittance to a proper ward. It was dreadful and care really not good so I said with him night and day. He was put back under the surgery team and result of blood tests etc when first admitted to A and E (ER) was that white cell up indicating infection, sodium down and potassium up indicating dehydration.

I realised dehydration was due to me giving him too much diuretic reading label wrongly. I was later advised that white cell count was up indicating an infection when discharged but not high enough to warrant antibiotics or investigation and they thought he would do better at home but instead the infection which had sort of been in the back ground got worse. Apparently tests in the hospital had never shown anything conclusive so classed as low grade and not causing concern but now they trying to find out source. It may or may not be connected to the op.

He had a CT scan on Tuesday and hopefully will hear something about results today but nursing staff told it in their opinion there was nothing conclusive on it.

will give update tonight after visiting hospital your prayers and thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thank you for this report from Snugs, Dolly.

Prayers continuing for Brian to gain strength, get his potassium and sodium levels evened out, and to get to go home again.

Prayers of strength for Snugs, who I know is very tired and worn down from being up so much.

Prayers for your dad, Snugs. I know all the tests and then waiting for test results is stressful and difficult. :(
