You’re always welcome, long as you don’t mind a crowd! My parents’ birthdays were the 1st and yest, so they came. My inlaws live about a football field away and they came. Hubby and myself, gbaby, #2 son and his girlfriend. Did I mention I have a lot of trouble cooking for less than an army? LOL

Had the gbaby this evening. Moon is almost full and beautiful! Cold here but we were outside for a bit. I taught gbaby how to howl at the moon.

I’m glad you like the poetry I enjoy. No complaints means I can keep doing it. ;-)

Now that Barack Obama has been elected president, I urge my fellow Republicans and conservatives to show him the same amount of love, respect and support that the Democrats gave to President Bush.

I love that. I will have to make one in large letters and put it where I can see it every day. I just wish he had to go through a little bit of what the Media has put our poor President through for years. The President smiled and tried to swallow it. I don't believe Obama could take it as you can tell if they dare ask him a question he doesn't approve of, he gives some snarky remark.

Good night, Jaycee. Sweet dreams.

I’m going to lay down for awhile. Not sure yet whether I will be back tonight. If not, I’ll see everyone tomorrow.

The things which the child loves remain in the domain of the heart until old age. The most beautiful thing in life is that our souls remaining over the places where we once enjoyed ourselves ~ Kahlil Gibran

I just had to look this up again. It is the cutest pic. of feet I’ve ever seen. That is a pedicure and a half!

Thanks. Amy found that picture, I only added the daisies and a border and then found the poem to go with it. Sometimes things just all come together nicely. This one was easy.

Big or little
We're related, and we love our 'human'

Picture Puzzle Piece by Shel Silverstein

One picture puzzle piece
Lyin’ on the sidewalk,
One picture puzzle piece
Soakin’ in the rain.
It might be a button of blue
On the coat of the woman
Who lived in a shoe.
It might be a magical bean,
Or a fold in the red
Velvet robe of a queen.
It might be the one little bite
Of the apple her stepmother
Gave to Snow White.
It might be the veil of a bride
Or a bottle with some evil genie inside.
It might be a small tuft of hair
On the big bouncy belly
Of Bobo the Bear.
It might be a bit of the cloak
Of the Witch of the West
As she melted to smoke.
It might be a shadowy trace
Of a tear that runs down an angel's face.
Nothing has more possibilities
Than one old wet picture puzzle piece

I hate squirrels! One dropped poison in my yard, I found it, ate it and went to Rainbow Bridge.

I'm the boss of Rainboaw Bridge and I can do anything I want to.

To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether 't is nobler in the mind to suffer
slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep:
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
heartache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to,-'t is a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;
To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there 's the rub:
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause: there 's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life;
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
pangs of despised love, the law's delay,
insolence of office and the spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? who would fardels 1 bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
undiscover'd country from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all;
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pith and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry,
And lose the name of action.
