(and Lori, if this is not the one you were talking about earlier?)

No, he freepmailed me the one I was looking for, the one I had read years ago. Now I can end my search for it. As I told him, I won't lose it again. :-)

Doesn't fish hawk have an amazing talent? Not only for poetry, but also for painting and sculpture. We are so fortunate that he shares his creations with us.

Thanks for the compliments on my wolf graphic. I made it quite a few years ago. It was "inspired", you know. ;-)

Thanks, Lori. After I posted that comment, I went back to your post and realized it couldn’t be the same poem. I did send a private mail to fish hawk with the graphic I plan to use in the morning, but if I don’t hear from him, I’ll use the poem I’d originally found of course.

Oh Billie.

Use Fish Hawk’s poem. I’m sure he will love how you want to use it.

Hope you get back to the thread tonight, Fish Hawk.

To: JustAmy; All
ARE WE WORTHY

The passion of woman
Is drawn by the words of man
To surface in thought
Of remembered dreams
Soft as the gentle touch
Of a poem or a song
Yet, with great determination
To protect the heart
With caution and time
Most men do not see the
Quiet armor of self-
Preservation
Until they ride into it
Like invisible walls
The lesser strength
Turns out to be the
Strongest of all
And with the quiet
Patience of time
Stops, turns, and waits
For the man to catch up
Sometimes we are worth it
Sometimes not.

Oh .... so very lovely, Fish Hawk.

I’m saving this poem so don’t be surprised if you see it in a future thread. :)

Thank you for sharing your talent.

That is a fantastic picture! Beautiful. I enjoyed seeing all the photos. Thanks! :)

I can hear owls sometimes. I would love to see one. The other night out with the dog, something flew by us. I suspect maybe an owl.

You’re welcome, Amy..
I was busy yeterday trying to get my favorite coffee maker to work properly..no luck..changing sheets and doing laundry..and went to sleep while I was downloading pictures my son sent of my old slides.
.He got a converter as a Christmas gift..I note I have 20 more emails from him...LOL ..I will be at it a long time..Some are over 50 years old...I am taking a very sentimental journey. It has been decades since I have seen these. I gave them to him 20 years ago ..my projector had not worked properly for years. and the screen was damaged in a move.
I’ll BBL.

Faith Of A Child
Unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. —Matthew 18:3

One Sunday I heard Mike talk about his relationship with his two fathers—the one who raised him as a child, and his Father in heaven.

First he described his childhood trust toward his earthly father as “simple and uncomplicated.” He expected his dad to fix broken things and to give advice. He dreaded displeasing him, however, because he often forgot that his father’s love and forgiveness always followed.

Mike continued, “Some years ago I made a mess of things and hurt a lot of people. Because of my guilt, I ended a happy, simple relationship with my heavenly Father. I forgot that I could ask Him to fix what I had broken and seek His advice.”

Years passed. Eventually Mike became desperate for God, yet he wondered what to do. His pastor said simply, “Say you’re sorry to God, and mean it!”

Instead, Mike asked complicated questions, like: “How does this work?” and “What if . . .?”

Finally his pastor prayed, “Please, God, give Mike the faith of a child!” Mike later testified joyfully, “The Lord did!”

Mike found closeness with his heavenly Father. The key for him and for us is to practice the simple and uncomplicated faith of a child.

Have you noticed that the childlike faith
Of a little girl or boy
Has so often shown to older folks
How to know salvation’s joy? —Branon

Faith shines brightest in a childlike heart.
