Oh, we are bird fans, from the littlest wren to the largest raptors. We are always going “cuckoo” over our feathered friends...:)

GeeBee has seen owls in her neighborhood, I believe. They are rare or non-existent in SoCal.

So many times the holidays give us a chance to learn new things.
We studied George Washington Carver in school but I had forgotten most of what I learned.

I hope they repeat that show, Amy. It was very absorbing viewing for me. Lobo was a truly amazing being.

As for warm weather, what is that? Hah. We go from chilly to cold to freezing to sunny for a couple of hours to shivering fits!!! LOL...:)

For my birthday, we went to dinner. Came home early to beat the fog but had a very nice family time.

Yesterday it was warm enough for a couple of hours to let Marissa go out to ride her bike. She is getting cabin fever. She does go out sun or no to visit the dogs everyday.

 WHAT IS MUSIC

What is music
But some lines on a paper
With little black dots and flags
    Until someone picks up the violin

What is life
But a matter of time
And the routine I choose to follow
    Until you enter the room

What is love
But a loosely used word 
In songs and verse by lonely poets
    Until you grew around my heart

And at that point
    I discovered music,life, and love.

Oh, fish hawk, I wish that I’d had that poem a little earlier - my opening tomorrow could have used it. :( If I could hear from you (and Lori, if this is not the one you were talking about earlier?), I would still change my poem for the graphic in the morning, but do not want to ‘claim’ something I shouldn’t.

I’m sorry - I was so excited seeing the music poem just now, I forgot to mention this morning’s opening. So pretty - loved the wolf opening graphic and poem this morning!

Our dogs, Millie and LouieMax, love for her to come play with them.
They act like a couple of excited kids.

Our back yard and small orchard are fenced and connected so I never worry about Marissa when she is out with them.
No way could anyone grab her with her guardians near. :)

Hi Dita! I went to that link you posted, forgetting that I am using Firefox and, for some reason, youtube videos won't play in that browser. I keep getting the the message that I need to upgrade my FlashPlayer. But I HAVE upgraded it -still they won't play.

The next time I open up Internet Explorer, I will watch the video. Thanks in advance. I love just about anything having to do with animals.
