P.S. Forgot to mention, though not a small dog, one of my dogs is white, and if he got too far away from me when it did snow here, I wouldn’t be able to see him! :)

The second owl, to me, is the prettiest. I've never seen a barn owl, so that heart-shaped 'white' face is very pretty. Amy found that picture after I had told her about the poem I liked about a barn owl. :)

I haven't kept up posting all my BillieBlueBirds today - have so many more but I get lazy after a while and just post words, not pictures. :) You must either do a pretty good job filing your graphics or else just keep finding new ones! LOL

Thanks, Meg. Glad you liked the barn owl and the cute poem. I don't know why she wrote that it doesn't have a pretty face - I like that sweet heart shape. :)

"Great Horned Owl Flight School" .......

He/she's looking pretty wary about it, isn't he? :):)

Maybe your dog would go invisible but he’d leave a definite trail.

Snow cuts crime. Last week’s news reported a fellow came home to find his TV had been stolen. He found tracks in the snow and followed them to a neighbor and the TV. Duh!

Thank you! You know, I am still so proud of our President, Kitty, for the class and dignity and honor he has shown since he first campaigned for the Presidency 9 years ago. I do wish Obama well, because he has very big shoes to fill, but I pray he will be a one-term President, and our party will prevail again in 2012.

Thank you, Kitty! Oh, I was very happy to hear that the President commuted Ramos and Compean’s sentences also. They said it would have been much better if he had ‘pardoned’ them instead. If he had pardoned them, their records would have been clean but with commuting them, everything remains on their records....hard to get jobs, etc.

Frankly, I don’t know much about those things but the reporter said that. At least, they can be with their families once again and thats a very happy thing for them. I am so glad for them. I am going to miss this wonderful President. He never received credit for anything he accomplished. Its very depressing, isn’t it?

That’s beautiful, Billie!

Thank you, LadyJ! I loved all the different shades of brown in that owl picture. :)

Love that poem! I want to see the rest of the owl’s wings! Interesting to see him ‘coming at us’ like that!

I love the whole composition, incorporating the poem into the framing and the effect encircling the owl. Right down to the font color you did great.

Thanks, Amy - I'm glad you like the owl/poem together. :)

Hey, your little birdie looks familiar. :)

I actually like your 'larger' size better, and there is more turquoise fine glitter than mine, which is mostly all over blue glitter.

A Valentine

For her this rhyme is penned, whose luminous eyes,
Brightly expressive as the twins of Leda,
Shall find her own sweet name, that nestling lies
Upon the page, enwrapped from every reader.
Search narrowly the lines!- they hold a treasure
Divine- a talisman- an amulet
That must be worn at heart. Search well the measure-
The words- the syllables! Do not forget
The trivialest point, or you may lose your labor
And yet there is in this no Gordian knot
Which one might not undo without a sabre,
If one could merely comprehend the plot.
Enwritten upon the leaf where now are peering
Eyes scintillating soul, there lie perdus
Three eloquent words oft uttered in the hearing
Of poets, by poets- as the name is a poet's, too,
Its letters, although naturally lying
Like the knight Pinto- Mendez Ferdinando-
Still form a synonym for Truth- Cease trying!
You will not read the riddle, though you do the best you can do.

LOL. That is true! And more than just footprints. He marks every weed or blade of grass in his path that sticks up higher than the rest. :)

DUH indeed! How dumb could he be!

Thank you again, I use that particular 'mask' effect a lot, because it always looks different, depending on the canvas background I put the graphic on, as well as the graphic itself. :)

I love that picture. Would that be in your yard? Its snowing here but I haven’t heard the latest forecast to see if it will amount to anything. I know one thing...its colder than cold here and be colder tonight and tomorrow.

I can find some graphics but others get lost forever. The bluebird graphic I have mentioned twice to you...I can’t find it but I know its there. I usually file ‘bluebirds’ starting with ‘bluebird’ and an added word to tell me which it is. So I performed a magic trick on that one. Could have called it a cute bluebird or a darling bluebird....LOL! I have been known to trick my own self~~~~

The lost one is animated also. You have got a lot of your catch up posting done today. When I get several days behind, I can never catch up, so I give up!
